Adding a new navy

G'day guys - dumb question number 2...

I have DW Edit - but am now a bit stuck on how to add a new country/navy.

I was hoping to add the country of Syria - with 2 Petya III frigates and (maybe) 2 Romeo SSKs...

I sussed out how to add a new country (Syria) - but am not sure how to add ships to that country...

After adding a Country, you have to create a new ship class associated with that country.
After all that you create new entities associated with that ship class in the correct object.

Edit - I've created the country, shipclass and added the two entities (Petya boats)...but when I start the game, I can't see them in the editor or the USNI database...

Any ideas, fellas?

Well, in the USNI it's not supposed to show up just by adding them in the database.
USNI is compiled from the the usnidata in the graphics folder.

But it should show up in the mission editor, make sure you picked the right type (sub/surf/land based...), chose the country and the new shipclass you created should appear on the dropdown menu.
