Default Choppy Graphics on Enemy Ships

Hello All,

Finally got SH5 working properly with the MegaMod and have begun poaching off the English Coast. One thing I notice, and while its not so bad i still wonder if there is a fix, is that when I go to 3rd person view above the ship and fly over to the enemy ship I am hunting, the ship itself always has that choppy odd graphics going on. Like patches of coloration spazzing out on the ship itself. Like I said, not a huge deal, but with such a beautiful game I would love if there was a mod for this. Anybody know of one?

Thanks

Hi and welcome,

No don’t know any mod for this, but maybe someone else could help you find one.

You probably own a Nvidia?
I too have some occasional visual glitch when looking at fires, mainly with UZO or binoculars.
Nvidia isn’t top for SH5 anyway, because ATI owners seem to get less troubles...

But have to say since i’m Playing on my native resolution 2560X1440 i have less troubles of that kind.
Of course had to activate the appropriate TWOS mod for resolution (in TWOS parts)

Yes NVIDIA. I was on the fence thinking this was my graphics card due to the sheer amount of issues the game had.

I have seen these resolution mods. What do you mean by my native resolution? The default resolution of the monitor you are using? That could be an issue I will have to experiment.

Thanks!

Yes, the monitor default native reso.
In my windows parameters, it’s the recommended resolution.
SH5 is the only SH that allows a so big resolution, so i enjoy it!
At 2560X1440 image is close to perfect, and no need for high Anti aliasing

Refresh rate of monitor is also important factor for nice image. Mine is 60.
Make sure you match yours...

So my monitor matches yours exactly. So there is a mod with this exact resolution and I need to get this mod and enable it? This doesnt require a campaign restart does it?

Thanks

No campaign restart

You need to activate the « TWOS aspect ratio fix 21X9 » mod Via TWOS Jsgme.
And of course change the ingame resolution in option/video settings to match what you want!
