Default Sub Command not running on Win 8 (need help)

Hello All,

I need help in getting Sub Command to run on my Win 8.1 vaio flip laptop. Ive posted a question similar to this for fleet command and didnt get much help. Luckily I was able to get help for FC on the FC forum. Im hoping this time around I can get some assistance for sub command. Love both games. I tried using the same fix for FC that worked for sub command but it doesnt work. Ive tried setting the compatabiltiy mode and selecting windows 7 and running in lowest resolution but no luck.

When I try to run it the screen just goes black and the troubleshooter comes up. I know there has to be someone out there with the fix for this.

Much appreciated.

And if you set it to Windows XP SP1, SP2 or SP3 Compatibility mode?

I don't have Windows 8 personally myself, but I remember that those that did get it to work made this specific difference.

Otherwise maybe the colordepth is the issue. When it is running in windowed mode it hase been picky about that. See if you can set the colordepth of your desktop to 16 bit colors, or 8-bit/256 colors.
