Bubblehead1980,

Looking at the enclosed DAT file, you have no Node points for the following:
cfg#A01_NDE_River
cfg#A02_NDE_River
cfg#A03_NDE_River
cfg#A04_NDE_River
cfg#A05_NDE_River

You need these nodes within the dat, to call for the EQP values you have setup here:


I will play with the DAT, and link up one of the guns as a demo.

Thanks I just used the default files and renamed, but added the 25mm to the eqp file in the nodes(A01 etc) usually do for other vessels. Looks like devs left AA gun nodes off the River class? I didnt touch the .dat file .

I'm a little handicapped on nodes as I cant find the preview in S3D that shows where nodes are located on the ship, not sure if have an outdated S3D or what .Example trying to add depth charges to the gunboats for coastal patrols and escort. On the Hakodate want to add 25 mm in spot where hedgehog was(well for the variant without hedgehog).

Yes, I've been also looking the River Class from stock, it's also toothless in Air attacks... But then so is the FORTSU version.

As to creating nodes, it's pretty simple.

1# Open up the NDE_Hakodate.dat DAT file in S3D

2# Depending on where you want to locate the AA gun, right click either:
12:Node - NDE_River_F [forward]
70:Node - NDE_River_B [Back]

then goto "Append New Child Chunk / Nodes (type:4) / Node (type:4/100)

3# You will see an expanded list where your new node has appeared.
In my example i have included it at the front of the ship.

4# Now right click the new node and go to:
Append new child chunk / Label (type:8/0)

5# You will now see the following just below your new node:

6# Click / select the New label field, and to the right as seen below add this line "cfg#A01_NDE_River" Then remember to upscale this number each time you add a new node. 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 etc..

7# Now select the new node bottom left in yellow.

Close the Link 3D model option just below the node positioning.

Open up the Model preview to help you see where the node is going as you move it around.




That should now give you the newly added AA gun, then repeat until you have all guns and nodes in place. Just remember that any added nodes to the DAT, need to be mirrored in the EQP for the game to see or use them.

I think i have that all setup right..

Updated version for all variants.
Two 20mm_Double_base_US Guns on main gun platform



Here the DAT file I have edited, all you should need to do is move the guns to where you want them in S3D or add more, just follow the guide above, or copy my settings in the DAT.
