IMPORTANT FOR TDW!

I wanted to send you a private mail, but there was this error message:
Quote:
TheDarkWraith has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space.
That mail contains nothing highly private, so I simply post that here then, it reads(only slightly changed):

I love to see that Windows-programmers such as you join in and comment with substance on this.

Your interest shows that you are still running SH3, aren't you? Cool to hear!

What language(s) do you code in?

Great program and contribution to the mod pool.

I don't give 2 turds what the creator did in his pass life or if he is dogging somebody else that seemed to be a dictator to work with anyhow. I don't care if the guy is a Christian fundamentalist or he voted for Nixon in 72'. I also don't give a damn if he had a fetish for 12 year olds or he was a racist. A great piece of work is a great piece of work. And I grade his work without prejudice.

I also don't give two large stinky turds if other people in this forum downloaded this mod or not, and I could care less what they think or do with their own hard drives, so quit telling us about it! Frankly, I'm tired or hearing about it! You don't like the mod, GREAT! Here's a lollipop! Enjoy the rest of your day! Because I'll be spending the rest of my day enjoying this new front-end!

Considering that, Blitz, I hope you continue using your coding skills well and produce some other great front-end apps for us for SH3.

Cheers.

Rather passive aggressive in your last two posts. It is a shame you did not read the offered article yourself before your last two posts Arero.

Very succinct and to the point but not something I'd care to read again.

It will be most appreciated if you would tone it down a little in the future.

Okay,

we are now testing the injection of supplemental S3C-files for these big-mods:
  1. GWX
  2. NYGM
  3. LSH (5.1 only)
If you want to take part in the testing of this new function, write me.

You must have:
  • at least one of the above mods installed
  • S3C (SH3C - Silent Hunter III Commader) installed anywhere you like

So far I have two willing testers (1 GWX, 1 LSH) but nobody for NYGM yet.

I downloaded and installed your frontend and it seemed to work great, but after finding my files, it asks for three characters and "enter" to confirm. I have tried about every three character combination I can think of with no result. What is this and what do I need to do?
By the way, it looks great so far.

Keneek,

thanks for your feedback. But this does not tell me much.

Please follow post#12 and provide us with more info:
- make a screenshot so we see what you are talking about
- tell us what you did last before the prg asks you for 3 chars (did you click on the S3M funtions at the bottom right maybe?)

I take your point but since thr recent recruitment of more 'welcoming committee' members it is fast becoming the norm to welcome new members upon their first post irrespective of what forum area it is in.

I downloaded and installed the program, let it scan my computer, copied my clean install of SH3. When finished coping, I got the box in the attachment asking for a three character and "enter" to confirm. I tried several three character combinations without success. What do I need to do now, or did I do something wrong.
I hope the attachment works for you. I don't know how to do a screen shot.
Thanks in advance.

Keneek,

thanks for your efforts. I can't really see much on that picture (it's way too small), but obviously you have executed the S3M functionality to copy and activate another new installation.

Which characters have you tried to enter? Again: The picture is too small, I can't see what you are trying to enter, so please tell me.

S3F is programmed to only handle character-combinations that SH3's filemanager is able to use (it is explained in that very window!), so if you enter nonsense you will be prompted to do that again.

Default Beta-Testing-Phase I complete!

20140420 to 20140520: 1 month testing phase and fixes for various bugs have now been completed and I wish to thank the contributors for the extensive writing.

I will now invest time to include a couple of new things and will surprise you guys with another version of S3F.

May I also remind that I could need a couple more beta-testers for the new functions?

Read http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...&postcount=114 and think if you can join up with us.

Greetings

I recently purchased a new computer (basically to run SHIII)
Toshiba Qosmio
16.0 GB RAM
Intel Cor i7-4700MQ CPU @2.40GHz 2.40 GHz
64-bit OS
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M

I am currently running SH III GWX 3.0 Gold

updated with 4Gb patch

I hope I have followed the recommendations and can lend my assistance to the community

I am running the following Mods (in installation order) using JSGME
GWX 16km Atmosphere
GWX English Nav Map and Grid Reference
GWX Enhanced Damage Effects
GWX No Medals On Crew
Dertien No Rank On Crew
Evan82's Uniforms II
GWX Open Hatch Mod
MaGuiF
LifeboatDebris v4
Torpedo Damage v2
TMTv2 + ThomsensShipsv4.4
Salvo Selector Labels
Type VII Salvo Selector
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

My hope is to be able to run GWX 3 Wilhelmshaven St Naz v5 or v7 (preferred)

Thomsens sound pack

SubLynx- Charts Addon
And
Just follow Orders (sorry forget who created it)

The problem I am having is that I keep getting "SHIII has stopped working) errors despite numerous attempts at loading the MODS in JSGME- in different orders.

I am NOT saving my game within 51Km of land
I AM saving them with different "save names" ie; Patrol 02a, Patrol 02b, Patrol 02c etc.
I am not saving the game during time compression.

Using my last crash as an example. I started my most recent patrol using the above configuration and had saved my patrol after being at sea for 2 days..with my saves being Patrol 02, and Patrol 02a.

Upon starting my game this morning, I got the crash.

I have since downloaded S3F and ran the executable.

It found my SH III, my SH3 Commander but not JSGME.

I attempted to load my recent patrol and it also crashed.

I would love to be able to participate as a Beta Tester because I have issues going on that others do not appear to have.

I hope that I have followed the guidelines and can be a help
