Default Problem Solved

Hello Peter & propbeanie,
I've found that it was the browser that I was using.
I'm now using 'Edge' and it seems everything so far is ok..

Default Mix and Match Map Mods

Hello Peter,
Do you know if it's possible to use 'Church's NavMap' along with the maps used in 'The Wolves of Steel' ? First off, are they compatible ? What I would like to achieve is having 'TWoS' grids but the colour & icons of 'Church's'.
Regards Lachie (lowbow).

Hi Lachie
Church provides 3 map variations in his download.
The Illyustrator version is used in TWOS by vdr1981
Like the download I previous posted to you the Church's map of your choice can be used to replace the existing TWOS one.

Default Gameplay Settings & The Wolves of Steel

Hi Peter (THEBERBSTER),
Do you know if 'The Wolves of Steel' changes the 'Gameplay (Realism)Settings' as I set them ?
I saved the settings to my liking, then started a new Campaign. I then done the 1st Mission (Poland) and had to quit game.
Fired it up today and upon loading I see that the stock 'Gameplay Settings'
are as they were when the game was first run. Do you know what could have changed the settings ? or is it something I'm missing ?
I had a look at your 'Info & Tutorial Page post #12, but I don't know if it's relevant ?
Also on the modding side of things, do you know where the sub hull strength info is stored ? I'm starting to look at maybe doing some tinkering.
Regards Lachie (lowbow).

Yes
When you make game play setting changes there are 2 things you need to do.
1. Make a game save.
2. Load the new game save.
With TWOs you have to make a game save in the bunker before starting a new mission.
And you load that game save to start your mission.
This gives you an ideal opportunity to make any game play changes.

Default Target Lock

Hi Peter (THEBERBSTER),
Thanks for your help on my previous issue.
What I seem to be missing is the Target Lock function which was in the stock game. Has that been done away with in TWoS ?
I was also looking at 'Church's SHV Keyboard Commands' mod to see if it was in that mod, but that doesn't seem to have a key for it either.
Is there a way to get it back while using TWoS ?
Regards Lachie (lowbow).

Hi Lachie
I'm sorry but I do not recommend mod lists for SH5 as you will spend more time fixing your game than playing it.
Your list contains some mods where you must only choose 1.
You are also missing some essential mods as well.
You are also missing base mods where you have selected the optional ones that go with them.
You are also using mods which I do not know anything about.
For Mod order check out sobers mega mod as this will give you a good idea how to lay out a mod list.
I recommend you use one of the tried and tested mega mods.

Default Mods List Order

Hi Peter (THEBERBSTER),
I'm not planning using those mods as they are in the list. I was just trying to get a feel for what's good and what's not. I know there are essential mods & base mods missing. I've got a rough idea as to what I'm going to actually use. It was to get a rough idea as to what type of mod should come before others in load order. I will finish my tinkering & get into the game at last.
All I'm going to do now is try to change my 'Avatar'.
Once again I much appreciate your time.
Regards Lachie (lowbow).

Default Editing

Hi Peter,
Could you tell me if I change anything in 'OptionsFileEditorViewer' do I also have to do likewise in 'TDW GenericPatcher' ?
Also, is there any in-depth stuff on the 'OptionsFileEditorViewer' ?

Only Decks Awash must be enabled in each.

Default In-Depth Stuff

Hi Peter (THEBERBSTER),
I was just wondering if there is anything I need to watch out for if using 'OptionsFileEditorViewer'.
What I did notice was when I started it up it shows:-
'ClientAreaWidth=1014 and 'ClientAreaHeight=736'
Has this any effect on me running at 1920x1080 res & 16;9 ratio ? Or is this just for viewer's own window res ?
Sorry to confuse.
Regards Lachie (lowbow).
