As for the games, never managed to get through Clear Sky but absolutely loved SoC and CoP.
Okay. I'm going to go to Best Buy sometime soon. I remember seeing a STALKER game there. I don't remember which one though. I attempted to call them but I was transferred so many times that I doubt it was the local store.

I just purchased. So far a good game.

The Stalker series is quite good, and the Stalker Complete mods do a pretty good job of rounding them out with bug fixes and some gameplay fixes, mostly graphical though.

There is also one that adds random blowouts to SHOC and makes the game a little closer to the original idea but can't remember the name.
Is this mod loaded via JSGME or does it have it's own .exe?

They are in .exe format and self install.

One click deals, and are mostly graphical enhancements but some bug fixes as well.

Course you probably could make it JSGME compatible, as long as it isn't one of those annoying mods that check for game files.

Yes I'll be watching this for the third time tomorrow (set aside some time plus some booze and snacks)

Who else plays the games - there are such great modes for this?!?

I think it's so nice when it runs down your back in icy cold, because a monster is behind you...

I just logged in to recommend that same mod. I thought it was quite good.

Yes - in my opinion the best and most balanced modes for ShoC.
In particular, I find the damage model very successful and convincing.

For the German speaking users - for Autumn Aurora V2.1 there is a translation of Das_P0M aka China:

A wide range of impressive modes for CoP:

I myself prefer the SGM for CoP, because China aka Das_P0m is an excellent german modder.
