What a carnival. All that whooping and woooing by the mob outside. The Bishop they wheeled in was a clown.

Dissapointing.

In a 20 minute summary on TV, it was quite entertaining. The Oscar for best show concept this year goes to "Windsor".

Where that sparkles of light spraying from her face when he lifted her veil? It seems they truly enjoyed what they were doing.

Nobody does these kind of events like the Brits.

And here comes the bill £30 million hot off the press on the radio. Clearly there is no news today apart from this dribble.

Wow this is a tough crowd .... lol. I did watch some, it was interesting and I wish them well. Nice day there, it could have been raining.

Coverage and repeat coverage is on many channels here in the US if people are looking for it. There are other things on and other things to do too. I haven't heard of anyone tied to a chair and made to watch.

In the UK, yes taxpayers got bit, however dollars/pounds from tourist & souvenir spending going into the UK economy will outweigh any taxes by a lot according to a breakdown I saw on FOX.

Most importantly though imo, Prince Harry served active duty in Afghanistan until he became a 'known' prime target, plus he has done a lot for and continues to do work for wounded vets; he is no slug.

Happy Hunting!

Very well said sir

There are some who have the giraffes neck to play the 'taxpayer' card when in actual fact/reality they don't even pay income tax.

Royal wedding £32 million and rising, the cost of the royals rising, £82 million this year. Info hot off the radio.

Out of date institution time for them to call it a day. Over 65% of the population of the UK is not interested in the royals. Wast of money that would be better spent on the NHS and the police.

The figures I saw (on tv so I can't link) said that last year the Royals cost the people approx £465 M, but Royal merchandise and attributable tourism brought in over £550 M.

They sound like a profitable tourist attraction to me.

If I made the rules in Britain, I'd have several Companies just marching around the countryside in WW2 kit with Lee-Enfields & pipe bands just for the tourists. Correction, make that WWI kit since it's the centennial and all. I think I'd make everybody that graduated boot camp do it for a whole month after graduation just to get them "feeling" British.

Harry's served longer and in combat versus his brother who only served in local SAR roles and one tour in the Falklands. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Don't really mind the monarchy since they've pretty much gone hands off on all their colonies dotted around the globe. Dislike the media storm that's been kicked up over it, but that's all news is these days, sensationalism with a couple grains of truth sprinkled in it.

I can not be bothered linking but I will say the radio host quoted from the Office of National Statistics and other Government sources. This is my final word on this one from me as the figures he put out contradict everyday media statements.
