Default Over Flanders Fields

I just downloaded Phase 2 of OFF and installed the main game (the skin pack is DLing as I type). I forgot to patch CFS3 to 3.1 after reinstalling CFS3 -- do I now have to uninstall OFF Phase 2, patch CFS3, and then REinstall OFF Phase 2? Or is patching CFS3 not a major problem?

Thanks

If I'm correct the manual states that its needed to install the patch 3.1

if I remember correctly

*install CFS3
*Run it once till the main menu (so some files will be created)
*patch it to 3.1
*install OFF by following the Readme file

good luck and happy flight

I finally decided to re-install CFS3 just so I could try Over Flanders Field.

I downloaded all the "Core Files"
I Patched CFS3 to 3.1
I ran CFS3
I tried to install the OFF fills but it stated I was missing "Phase 1"

What is Phase 1?? Everything on the Download page refers to Phase 2.

You shouldn't need phase 1. I d/l everything from the off website, installed over CFS 3.1, and was up and running in no time.

Thank Guys,

I found the problem, it was a bad download. It installed/upgraded just fine after the 2nd attempt at downloading the files.

Odd thing is that when I try to fly on the British side, I get error messages about Skins missing and it just assigns the "Default" skin. I've checked and it appears that the "Aces" skin that is required, are missing. I tried to just copy another skin (after making minor changes) and renaming to the missing file to fix the problem.

It worked but I have no idea what the real skins looked like and the program I used can alter some of the color balance and save as a ".DDS" file in "JPEG" format. However, it does not allow me to actually change each pixel. If these files are really "JPEG" files with the extensions changed, then I can make the needed changes for the missing files.

Has anyone else had the problem with missing "Skins"?

Still seems you've done something wrong. No such problem for me.

Any idea what I may have done wrong? The install went fine. The Sim looks great. I've tried to re-Install the Skin patch but so far, no change.

So far, all I've tried is the British side.

I've no such problem either here,

I dont know if the forum might have answers of the OFF website.
too bad they havent posted the MD5 key on their downloads so you can check it with a MD5checker.

Thanks for the info but I think there was a problem.

d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e *OverFlandersFieldsPhase2ReleaseV1.0.exe
d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e *OverFlandersFieldsPhase2SkinsV1.0.exe

Both these have the same Checksum total. I guess the good news for me is that the Skin file was correct for what I had. So I may either have to re-install everything again or just post the missing Skins to see if anyone has them.

After running MD5, this is what I got for the 1st file:

ea0532ee8d90fd08c031bcb153ce98ed *OverFlandersFieldsPhase2ReleaseV1.0.exe
