IL2 1946 Online

Attention pilots!

I would like to know the following things

1.do you have IL2 1946 updated to 4.08m

2.does your internet allows you to play online (broadband)

3.where do you live (post your time zone)

my goal:

as I,m making a bit of a fiction dogfight map including ground targets.
I would like to invite people to play it.
its a map of italy with a 10 minute flying distance between the 2 bases.

the bases will contain harbours with ships as my map is still a WIP and only has the german harbour ready the following things are inside

''AA cruisers, Coastal defence Ships, the Tirpitz, IIB and VIIC submarine surfaced, some merchants, destroyers and PT boats.''
the harbour also has 88 flak defences and tanks and vehicules in the dockyard''

close to the german harbour is a base that contains all the german planes from 39 till 46. (maybe I will allow IJN planes too)

the allies forces ( RAF & USAAF) have every fighter, bomber plane from 39 till 46.

the allied harbour is still in progress but will contain as the Jackpot the Duke of York.

I will set a goal in the map that you have to destroy at least 70% of the harbour.

the big ships are destructable but like in real life a Battleship can take multipe hits from bombs and torpedo's.

you can fly a bomber and blast the hell out of whats below or take a fighter and intercept the bombers from bombing your harbour.

so if you're interested in this map please let me know

I will post some screenshots of what the mission looks like later.

To answer your questions:

1. Yes, I do have IL2 1946, but no it isn't updated to that particular patch.

2. Yes, I have a 9 meg ADSL connection.

3. I live in the UK so GMT for me is also the time on my clocks.

Sounds interesting, keep us posted of your progress.

you think that is bad, thats just the big flaks,
if you are below the 1000 meters they will fire everything they have even the VIIC will use its flaks.

also as I was the only enemy target in their spotlights...they focus their fire on me. if you have multiple bombers your rate of survival will increase a bit :rotfl:

Il2 1946 patch4.08m

1Meg Braodbadn ( I have heard IL2 is quite friendly)

Live in the UK so GMT +1 at the moment.

Would love to try online flying. Get me on yahoo messenger with the nick shkvalru
I have teamspeak but my mic is crap and I can't afford a new one yet.

Also a week on Friday the wife and kids are leaving for 6 weeks so I will needing something to keep myself occupied.

As i am quite partial to the Beaufighter it sounds like a fun one for low level screaming action.
Also teh Beau can be quite handy against a 110 or 109.

Well as its friday,

I will work on the map this afternoon,
I already reduced the flak amount (took out some 88's)
and increased the ROF of the ships inside the harbour.

also I'm going add the first allied targets into the map so if you're going to pick the germans you have something to do as well.

another small update:

I tested the map a bit more..
going to increase some ROF of the AA cruisers
delete a couple of 88's
destroyers will get a ROF 12 seconds to reload
Uboats will get 15 seconds reload
AA cruiser 12 seconds to reload

also adding the BB Duke of York on the allied side and some merchants docked in the harbour and a stationary convoy near the mountains

also increase the number of ground targets on the allies side (shermans, halftracks, Artillery, AA guns and some other vehicules.

also I will start building on the Airfields, stationary airplanes, vehicules , search lights and AA defences and Barrage balloons around them.

1) Not yet...but hope to rectify this within the next fortnight.

2) 1 meg (2 meg when the wind's blowing in the right direction and the elephants in India aren't knocking down the phone lines)

3) UK = BST/GMT/ZULU

Looking forward to trying that map....what sort of AA defences are there against low-level wave skimming approaches at max speed? Coz that's my usual approach to targets like that.... :hmm:
