Default Crush depth on subs

Just been playing around with Los Angeles Class sub in SH 4 found in download area, upgrading it work with TMO RSRD.

Changed it's crush depth from 300 meters to 500 meters or 1640.42 feet. Thing is boat started taking hull damage at 1242 feet so never made it to 1640 feet No combat or anything like that. I left "armor level" at 25.0 Does armor level have anything to do with crush depth?

Also, anyone have any depth gauges that go deeper than 600 feet?

Not realistic just fun side project and its a nice exterior model, Mark 48 torpedoes are nice as well. Had fun in a single mission.

ArmorLevel is the thickness of the hull, 25 centimeters in this case; 100 would be battleship armor.

Look into the *.zon, ColisionableObject, you`ll see CrashSpeed = X, that X is the number of hitpoints substracted per second.

Last Thing is Hit_Points; let`s say 600; CrashSpeed = 2 would mean you`d have 300 seconds to get back up to a non-damaging depth.

Good examples for you would be the Titan Fortress (for ArmorLevel) and the Alfa (which can go down to 600 meters with no problem).

As far as crush depths go there's a formula for that it seems. I ran into it as well when modding the US nuc boats that I've done. Also you don't want to go too deep as the game removes any unit that goes deeper than 1652 ft to save on resources.
