Anyone interested in USAAF vs. IJ campaign?
I was thinking of Burma. Buffalos & Hawks (and P40s at some point) vs. whatever the Japanese have. Could try with the 50+ planes option on from DCG and see if everyone can handle it, would make a good fight. If not, then 25+ planes will have to do.
If we get atleast 2 + me I can host it tonight anywhere from 20GMT to 23GMT. Also, what realism settings you'd prefer? Locked or open pit? |

Both sides will be choosable. What I'd suggest is that you use the default skin with markings on. That way the other team cant identify your plane and go straight after it. I want this to be team vs. team instead of player vs. player.
EDIT: Or how about a bigger campaign? Starting from Wake 41 (no Pearl Harbor campaign on DCG) to Japan 45. You pick your side on which you play the current campaign part (Wake 41, then if you want, change your side for the next theatre), let's say 20 sorties per theatre, the team with most kills win. After all the theatres are played, the team with most theatre wins is the winner of the Grand Campaign. This would naturally require set times when we play, to keep it under control. I can host 2-3 sorties per night, except for weekends. Tho, I must warn you, the Pacific theatre campaigns have quite long distances to fly, so you might end up having to fly 10-15min to your target and back. So, what do you ppl think? Single campaign or Grand campaign? Last edited by Dowly; 02-26-08 at 08:07 AM. |

I like the idea of a grand campaign, but all depends on how many players can be available ,as you know R.L. dictates when anyone's available.''due to time differences etc.'' so i like the idea of picking set times and nights. I'm available most nights.
and what you mean p40's will be available at some point? |

As for the times, for time being, we can start at anytime during the evening as Hunter havent gotten his PC ready for online games yet. And concerning the P40, it wasnt available on the first mission of the Burma campaign. Tho, I'm pretty sure I can change that from the DCG settings. As for Wake '41, P40 isnt available as it's carrier ops. |

I would, but I got a laundry list here:
To do list: 1. Install Router to get Internet around the house without the need that my PC is on (doesnt work yet....stupid ****ty manual) followed the darn thing step from step and it refuses to work! the internet conection inside the router is recognized (it gives my Down and Upload speed) but he doesnt transfer the internet towards my PC. 2. Fix a sound issue, somehow after a while my sound goes crackling and speeds up, I dont mind when doing MSN or stuff..but when playing SH3 or IL2 online this is going to be pain in the butt. 3. see (1) get the Wi-Fi adapters on the other 2 computers to catch my Router and share internet 4. make sure (1)(2)(3) are fixed HunterICX

and in advanced settings BACKUP YOUR SETTINGS so if the need arises you can roll back to working settings |

Also, the Pacific campaign has only few good maps that have decent flying distances for our small band of pilots. The Burma is bigger than I remembered, but Coral sea was nice. Also, there IS a Pearl Harbor campaign, it just was called 'Hawaii' so I missed it. And lastly, I WANT BIG BOMBERS TO FLY!! |

Let's just scrap the whole Grand Campaign idea and just play the campaigns as we feel.
EDIT: Oh and I check out the excellent JastaV's Germany 1943-1945 campaign again, I think that would be great for online as it has all the bomber offensive parts etc. in it. |

No BoB? :P
Doesn't sound like the Brit planes get much action around here... give the spit/cane a go. Personally I can't stand the corsair, really crappy handles like a pig. Wildcat is really underpowered too the engine is pathetic lol, zero's are nearly impossible to kill they just fly rings around you, and then beat you in the vertical too .
