Default Scenario idea

I'm a newbie here playing DW, so there is no way that I could design a scenario.

I'm wondering if any of the experienced designers have considered adapting a campaign scenario on the Tom Clancy book SSN.

I've read various posts here regarding his book that is based upon a game.

Maybe this campaign actually exists... I don't know.

I DO know, however, that from what I've read here in the forum and in the book that it isn't realistic at all.

Given the LWAMI mod and other things, is it even possible to re-create the book into missions, but done in a more realistic mannor?

If it's a bad idea, fine.

Thanks

It's been done at least twice for SC. http://www.subguru.com/missions/spookssn.zip http://www.subguru.com/missions/SSN_missions.ZIP. DW has the capability of importing SC missions. You will have to edit the scenarios that have platforms that aren't in DW, however, since these were made for SCX. (assuming whatever errors the differences cause don't prevent the importation in the first place)

I've played one of those but I don't remember which. It wasn't challenging because the enemy is consistently inferior. But, if immersion is your thing, it was very well written and felt realistic.
