The others cause a crash of the DwEdit when I go to introduce their filenames (just verified they're correct) in the proper fields on the j3d viewer... When I accept the modification by double-clicking up the drop-down list's corresponding name, the program crashes... Verified up the Kotlin, Lama, Turya, Zulu, Whiskey and Zulu new 3D models of yours...
Of the Lama I personally exported the j3d from my 3d studio max...but it fails...

Why that? Too many polys or else?
Ah those were old files. There is a problem with transparncys that I used for the masts and props (I was lazy). I've since removed those and added true polygonal masts in my new verson of the models. The models that work have all been posted in this thread or have been send directly to ML.

Ok but you'll have to pull a few shifts for me a work.

Coming up next will be the East German Parchim class corvette.

Awesome. Its great to see remodeling of civillian platforms, since they are in every mission and so are high yield.

On a random note... Hey TLAM, have you every thought of making the Kilo prop 3 dimensional? Think it would be easy to do?

Sorry but it would not. The J3d converter I have (to convert .j3d to .3ds) dosn't work with .dds texture files that all the playables use. So to get a 3d prop for the Kilo would require a totaly new model. As much as I love the Kilo I don't think my current modeling skills would give us a superior product to what we already have.

Gotcha. Oh well that's too bad. Anyway the models are great. Got anything else cooking in the kitchen?

No pics right now but I got a Narco Sub just complete. And I'm working on the USCG's Famous class Cutter. Expect Iraqi's new Nasir class patrol craft along with some other smallish stuff in the coming month(s)

We need a complete revamp for surface ships' 3D model.

Nothing too fancy a mild improvement and new skin perhaps

If you're willing Sir, I'll ship some slaves from all four corners over free of charge
