Ah...yes, I see.

If you can travel down around Volgograd on June 1st, 2030 then you can see an annular eclipse. Not quite as spectacular as a total eclipse, but it doesn't look like western Russia will see one of those until 2061.

Im almost ready I even broke down and purchased a dual axis motor for my equitorial mount. Hope the skies are clear, Im prepared to travel last minute to find them. Pretty excited about this.

Enter city state or latitude and logitude to get an estimated time and percent of totality.

BETTER: regular sunglasses block about 60% of light rays while eclipse glasses block 99.9% of light rays.

Off topic
Don't bother to write about this solar eclipse, ´cause some day after the earth will be destroyed.

Read about it on a Danish news paper-Again these conspiracies have a new day in September.

Back to topic.

The Time animation shows what the eclipse might look like through an equatorial mounted telescope. For an observer simply looking through some eclipse glasses, the Moon will appear to take a curved path relative to the Sun.

NASA will be flying two WB-57 aircraft taking photographs. Looking forward to seeing them.
