Which IJN patrol boats don't have DCs?

As for the elco, yeah, adding them would be trivial. My suggestion would be to use the DC launchers from RSRDC. I made some "roll off" types that use a parachute-retarded charge (slower sink rate) to let small craft get away.

Clone that puppy, and up the size of the charge to match Allied types some...

The Atami and Hira gunboats.I plan on creating a "patrolboat/subhunter" layer for RSRD when I am home for thanksgiving, release it if possible(if lurker does not mind) here soon, in order to make up for the lack of patrols in RSRD.Atami and Hira gunboats with charges would be great for harbor patrols and shallow coastal areas as well as being "small fry" escorts in coastal areas.

Assuming I get this layer to work, plan to build new single merchant layers and replace them in my own RSRD.

I don't know if he meant to be rude or just how it came across on the board but I told him there was a more polite way to say what he said.Keep up the good work, we appreciate it.

Thank you

We just released the latest version of the Jyunsen B mod so that people could wait for the campaign. As the IJN also fought in the IO I too am playgin this campaign right now, it is realistic too.

this way you can get the feel of what's to come, even though I, being mainly a tester, play at easy setting !

thanks for the support

Those riverboats should not be seen at sea. I don't think they carried DCs or even hydrophones. They were rivervine craft. Look at the freeboard! So yeah, as close in coastal randfom things, they could rarely be seen, but they would not have prosecuted subs, IMO.

Lurker and I both deleted these things from our campaigns for that reason. They can be harbor traffic (what a waste of 3d modeling work). So

Yea I realize that but they were in the game, so could be used as coastal types i'm thinking. I think they had hydrophones in the game, they seemed to keep track of sub pretty well when submerged.Figured add a few DC's and active sonar on them, have a pesky little adversary.

Mainly I think itd be nice bc I plan on making a "coastal traffic" file to add in the freighters making local coastal runs with small escorts from around November 43 on.This became common in home waters and some other places from late 43 on.A large tanker needs to make a run from Tokyo to Kii Suido, would not do it alone but usually didnt want to assign a main line escort to this duty, so they employed small ships like the CHA-1 and patrol type boats armed with sonar and depth charges.Since already had the gunboats figured theyd be a good stand in.USS Tang's patrol in summer 1944 was filled with 1 or 2 ships making coastal runs with 2-4 small escorts, sometimes planes.

Also, theyd be good for shallow patrols in the bays, add some variety.

Very cool, it is a shame they sunk them to keep them from the Soviets instead keeping them of telling the commies to gth since they became the enemy(were all along anyway)
