No, as I've noticed that CTD happened only when I selected one of the tubes just before any sound been loaded. I belive there may be something wrong with swapped sound files that's why I got rid of them in first place.
Anyway I dont know for sure wether it's been DBSM or silentmichals ininterior or even IRAI but it's ok now.

Is there someone for whom the exact list actually works?
I'm using the outdated all-in-one file for which I have replaced the absolete files with their most recent version and use the recent .mep file but also get a crash upon campaign loading. Disabling the mods that were mentioned here to cause CTDs didn't help.

Also: Which version of the New_UI am I supposed to use?
The old mep says 7_2_0 but the new one says 7_1_0??

Well the story so far....
As I said before, game crashed on loading. Followed instructions and new install etc etc.. ctd.
Removed Ship Inertia and Inertia Damage mods and still got ctd.
Removed AI sub crew and game loaded fine.
Put the Ship Inertia and Inertia Damage mods back......and the game loaded fine!
So far so good. Game runs smooth and graphics look good. I've sent 3 ships to the bottom in Baltic Operations and am now on my way to the Polish ports area.
Thanks for all your hard work and patience to Sober and thanks for all your help and suggestions.

Read a tip earlier about clearing Silent Hunter 5 cache. Where exactly is that located?(Can't really see what else is causing it, I mean how does one CTD affect 10 saves that were done several hours ago?) Hope to get at least one of the 10 saves from my campaign working again, hate to lose that many hours of gameplay.

Your campaign saves are closely related to mods that were installed when you saved them, be careful with that or you will CTD like mad

Nothing changed. Done absolutely nothing to any mods or any game-files during the campaign(Ok a slight lie, I made some changes to radio messages and TAI in-game, tho the crash happened hours after this), not even installed any new drivers or programs on the computer at all.

If you are experiencing crashes rarely that does not mean that nothing is broken.
Game was poorly coded at the start so some crashes are related to UBI and solution is simple=save often. After these few years of modding game si really worth of play, looks beautiful and all mayor flaws are history at the bottom of the sea

If you return to base - do not over use "refit" as your save game file will keep getting bigger and bigger.
It is best to "end patrol" and then your career is rounded up and a fresh file for your next patrol is created.

I haven't been on this forum for about a year.
After spending about 8 hours going through some of the new posts on this forum this morning I was surprised how advanced the modding community have become.

Thank you to all those dedicated people( too many to mention) that have spent months and even years to make the silent hunter series a totally different game

I have nearly finished downloading all these amazing mod's and cannot wait to get the game running again.

Thank You very much
