Attention dear peoples of Subsim... building GWX updates is anything but "magic." LOL

Following the construction of GWX version 1.04, we will continue to help with user support issues, but the only further updates will be to correct any possible game-killing problems.

GWX version 1.04 in that respect... is the final "official" chapter for GWX/SH3.

There are tentative plans to go on to SH4... but these plans are easily several months away. It may be as much as a year before a GWX SH4 package is released.

I hope you can all be understanding in this regard. It has been a tough road to travel in very real-life terms... but we've been happy to do it.

After 1.04, we lay down our modding tools and go to sea... and it is high time that we did.

Are these files still available on Filefront? The listed links bring me to the frontpage and my search on Filefront yields nothing.

The Megaupload site is slow and after downloading one pack it tells me I have to wait 300 minutes because I exceeded the download limit after downloading just one pack.

The GWX skin pack for SH3Cmdr is available from 3 mirrors and is 164mb in total. (better compression)

Yep.

The seperate packs were combined into one so all you have to do is copy & paste the date folder over the one in SH3Cmdr's installation folder.

Can anyone tell me whether this skin pack is still available?. The download links do not work, is there an alternate?.

and secondly , does the skin pack effect multiplayer games e.g will it crash if I install it and play with others who do not have it?.

and thirdly , does it work with GWX 2.0 ?

You can download it from my FF account.

We normally advise that everyone has identical mods installed for MP, however, as the skin pack is a graphical addition, it is possible it will have no adverse effect. I ONLY STATED 'POSSIBLE'

The GWX 2.0 mod has it's own built in set of skins.

Just be warned that this skin pack is not fully compatible with GWX 2.0 and may cause CTDs if you don't do the following...

Once you have all the files unzipped to the same place do a complete search of the folder and look for: *.dat

Then delete all of the dat files that the search finds. After this it should be safe to use.

The skinpack is designed for 1.03 wont work with 2.0\2.1
