Great job mate, ...will this slow down the graphic's side of the game with all these change's?

Very nice mod, with many new attractions, but I have seen quite a few texturing/mesh problems...mainly with the new ships and always on the large 16/18" gun platforms..
Some of the barrels have black sections which also continue to the main gun turret.

I'll note which ones for future reference, but a more immediate problem for me is, and I need confirmation from others that this is indeed a bug and not just down to my install. that when viewing ships inside the museum (Japanese I think) I get a CTD...

Now my system OS is Vista 64 bit which is highly tweaked and performs extremely well playing every game I chuck at it, I know that some look at Vista(Pishta), especially the 64 bit ver with questioning looks, but i can play TMO fully patched with no problem..I'm trying to rule out that this is INDEED a bug within the museum that "Might" flow over to the main game....That some models are sending my install to CTD....Anyways I still feel that this is a great mod with oodles of potential and to come from just one person....Kudos to the exceptional work in progress.

My compliments to everyone involved with FOTRS. Great job. It plays very well on my computer (i7 940 processor, Biostar X58 Tpower mainboard, 6 gigs of G.Skill, an HIS 4870 X2, and Vistya Ultimate 64-bit). As a matter of fact, I like this mod so much I've added a link for this thread over at the Ubisoft SHIV Forums for SHIV enthusiasts over there.

Again very well done and thank you.

300 mb to go.....

I take it we can just disable all mods, then install this over stock 1.5.

I DL the link given. The first DL it finsihed at about 405MB and it also defaulted to open with windows media player....am I DL the right file. The game movies load up. The office looked stock normal, no picture of my gal...

I got in the sub..graphics are awesome..sharp, best I've seen yet...but get nothing but "cannot comply"
Obvious somethings not right. I unzipped it anyway and drag the mod into my game dir mod folder.

It seems somehow I'm just dl aspects. I tried the dl again, this time it finished at 79MB...

Do I need to put it over a fresh install of the game.

DL to a clean folder...seems to be fine now. It's picking up my radio station channels, just not playing, so assume we can just redo as normal with this mod and things will be fine.

The graphics are the most stunning I've seen...simply amazing. As close to real as you can get.

Didn't try the hud mod. I think I like this one. Would like to see the one aspect of the hud mod back...the radio and map.

So off to play and see how it goes.

Hi mate,

the problem with the textures on some US-Battleships is fixed now.
In FOTRS i have reworked the guns_radars03.dat but i forgot to rework the oclusion-map for these guns.
So its only an texture-problem.
Thanks for this information.

I will release a litte Bugfix soon.

Default Bugfix001 released !

Hello Captains,

here you can get the first Bugfix001 for FOTRS !
This Bugfix will fix the texture-problems of the mainguns on some US-Battleships.

Installation :

The Bugfix is an selfinstallation-programm.

1.) deactivate FOTRS with JSGME
2.) run the Bugfix001.exe
3.) Chose your destination-folder where the Bugfix have to be installed.
Important : The destination must be the FalloftherisingSun_V1.2_SH4V1.5-Folder in your Mod-Folder of your SH4 installation :
For example : c:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4 Wolfes of the Pacific\MODS\FalloftherisingSun_V1.2_SH4V1.5
4.) activate FOTRS with JSGME and enjoy the changes.
