The problem/issue/limitation is within SH3, not SH3Cmdr.
SH3 Commander can't supply this information, but SH3 Dynamic Campaign sure as hell can.

Hi Sniper Fox,

have a look at the download section here at "Subsim". You'll find SH3_Cmdr on the first page (SHIII downloads). Or look at Maiks FTP server - see folder JEASON KONES.

Greetings

Re-visiting SH3 yet again. Is the SH3 Commander window supposed to still be open when I exit the game. I thought it was. I have Windows 8 now and wondering if this is causing some problem.

In my installation under Win7, Commander opens when you exit SH3, but only if you do not have auto-rollback selected. Then, you get the Commander window, and the option to rollback the Commander changes. Otherwise, you just go straight to the desktop.

I thought it was a feature.

Ok, I have auto-rollback on so that'll be why.

How do you update your personal file? It keeps taking me to my web browser.

Hi keegan20,

that's quite normal. Both - the log file and the crew records - are just simple HTML files. So they will be open in your browser (without Internet conection).

Greetings

Default Two careers

I have a problem : I tried to run two careers at the same time.
Career No 1: 1939 OK Wilhelmshaven
Career No 2: 1942 Lorient : Invalid code to date encode.

Ok, I thought, I will change the dates in career0.cfg.
Departure point is a negative value!
Result : nothing SH3C will not update my career.

I know it looks embarrassing but I can not figure it out.

Any help is appeciated.

Usually, when I get that error, it has something to do with the save game files not matching up with the dates in Cmdr, though I'm not actually sure about that.

What I have done in the past that has corrected the problem is I have ran SH3 and loaded my latest save game, without running SH3 Commander. I then save and exit and rerun Cmdr, and poof, problem is gone. If it is happening while in port, I run the most recent save where I was at sea. Partly because of this I do a save usually right before I enter port, and right before I dock, so I have saves that are close to the end if there are any problems.

Another is to go into the game and delete your most recent save then come out and try running Cmdr. Go back and forth until it works. Usually goes away after some combination of that.

Good luck!
