Default Help! (probably a total noob question...)

But seeing as how I only discovered the game two days ago!!

I've been trying to learn the 4 bearing method but I'm coming up against what I think is a weird problem...

I can't "grab" lines etc on the TAI to move them for parallels etc. I can select them or delete them but I can't seem to alter their size or position, this makes the second stage of the process very tricky (#BritishUnderstatement) (edit: just to be clear I have tried selecting both the start and end points)

I'm running TWOS with the start type VIIB and UICmd_Radio_Reports_Auto Target ID mods.

I realise I'm probably doing something silly but I'd really appreciate a clue as to what it is

Thanks

When mousing over the line you want to move on map, it should become red (on extremity)
Then you left click and can move it...
To delete the line, click on the eraser, then on the line extremity

Default Tried that...

Simple test drew a compass circle then...

1) Hovering over it with just mouse, no response
2) Hovering over origin or end point with compass tool selected, highlights red
3) Hovering over with eraser, nothing until over origin point (which allows deletion)

From (2) above, clicking on end point keeps circle red but doesn't allow resize, clicking on origin point keeps circle red but doesn't allow movement

From (2) above, a single further click deselects the artifact, whilst a click&drag draws a new artifact

that’s not normal at all. You ran into a strange isssue. Don’t see how to fix it other than a re-install. Sorry

Default Thanks...

I've now tried a complete uninstall / re-install (including an absolute wipe of uPlay and all its components) and I've found I can't even get this functionality in the vanilla version of the game.

Gutted but it looks like I'll have to wait and see if (a) anyone else has any bright ideas or (b) someone creates SH6 or similar that will work on a modern OS

Thanks for the help anyway

One little thing - you can't manipulate things on the map if the game is paused.
