Unfortunately Aktungbby those things have a high miss rate, I have seen photo's of them covered in pigeon muck or pigeons strutting around them as to say who are you trying to fool. As for mind one it seems to be getting the message its not welcomed. Today I noticed no hooting from 4am to 7am, just hope the sod gets the message.

I thought it was a good idea Aktungbby, but Steed is right ... what good does it do if the birds still poop everywhere? What about fake snakes ... I heard that works too?

That owl would be nice with a camera in both eyes and cell phone ID caller, uh?

Just a few seconds ago the BBMF Lancaster roared right over our roof, flying south-east

I love this painting by Robin Smith GAvA... it shows the BBMF flight approaching the coast right here where I live. If you cast your eye to the left of the river, then immediately below the Lancaster's port tailfin is my house. The river Witham was long ago excavated here where it goes out to The Wash to provide deep-water access to the Port of Boston, and this widened stretch is known as 'The Haven'

I am still waging war on these vermin and for now I am winning. Rubber snakes don't work, a neighbor tried one and the pigeon perched on it hooting.

I found fake snakes work very well. Because birds have little fear of a predator if the bird can land on a perch above it, the key to success is to place/hang the snake in a most realistic manner possible at the highest point of the boat. I heard fake owls work just as well if placed high up too.

I'm not climbing up on my roof with my saractica to find out.
So far in the last few days the 4:30-8:00am hooting has now stopped thanks to a.. Handi-Reacher Long Arm Pickup Tool/Reaching Aid.

Not my one and my remote would fall off the TV due to being a modern flat screen.
