Does anyone know that the ETO Expansion for CFS3 is out!!

It is a awesome add-on for CFS3 most of the aircraft are redone along with the airfields and terrain as well. Its free like OFF and MAW. Here is the link to the fourms where you can get it. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...isplay.php?f=7

I tried the MAW (Mediterranean Air War). It was good, having the Malta campaign flying the Gladiators, but still, it's the same CFS3 engine that is surpasses by IL2 & BoBII.

That is all you needed to say I will keep CFS3 off the hard drive. It sits collecting dust. Such a shame for a game that looked promising.

Noo, I have no idea how this ETO one is. But I looked at them screenshots and it looks CFS3 to me. Over Flanders Field's close to the quality of IL2 & BoBII, but not right there. Seeing how much time was put to OFF, I PERSONALLY doubt the ETO can topple that. And this is my opinion, and no, I havent tried the mod.

And to add to that, there's only 2 true WWII flightsims I qualify as 'good'. IL2 for it's massive amount of flyable planes & theatres and BoBII for it's 95% human like AI.

I just grew tired of IL2.

You should try BoBII, it's only about Battle of Britain and you only have a handfull of planes to fly. But it is updated all the time. The Shockwave ppl, left the task to a community based group, the BGD (or something like that). They are making high resolution towns, making the AI even more human like (and I'm not kidding, it's just like flying vs. human player) etc. etc. My record on surviving is 4 sorties, it's darn hard. Put the difficulty to the maximum and you see some RL tactics. Like the Me110's forming a circle, the 'Luftberry'. Fricking great game it is.

I've played this mod and it the only mod that I've seen where you can play as the Battle of France, Battle of Britian, the events leading up to D-Day, D-Day itself all the way up to the last dogfights of the air war in Europe. All of the planes are correct (even the early Hurricanes have two and not three props). Its a mod that is worth playing.

My concern is graphics. Compared to CFS2 I believed the graphics in 3 went backwards.

I'll take some in game screenshots and post them so you can see what it looks like graphics wise.

I actually rather like CFS3. I see alot of potential, especially in this mod, but I can't seem to download it...
