Default Dark Blue World, any good?

Anybody seen this movie?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0244479/

Worth the watch or total poo? From the youtube vids it looks like a nice and pretty well made as far as the effects go. Tho, I'm sure I spotted the same plane used as 109 as in Battle of Britain.

That's because it uses BoB footage. And also a liberal dose of CGI.

It's a Czech movie, so it's free from the trimmings of Hollywood. But still, expect something more like Pearl Harbor than Battle Of Britain, in that it contains the usual love triangle sub-plot. But that is as far as the comparison goes. Beyond that, IMHO, this is another example of a foreign movie showing Hollywood how it should be done.

BUT... it is plot heavy and war light (if you've seen the trailer then you've seen most of the flying sequences). I had to watch it twice to get my head around the character development and plot subtleties that I missed first time around. Still, I enjoyed it and bought the DVD.

It's a good movie, but not in the vein of Battle Of Britain.

I really appreciated the (understated) political undertone. Which is that the Czech (and even more so the Poles) made an invaluable contribution to Britain's rescue, yet were shat all over after the war (in the Potsdam Conference). You will notice that the movie ends with the main character in a political jail, and not a heros welcome. Very good, realistic movie.

Watched it last night and really enjoyed it. But I still couldnt get over the fact that there was no real 109s, some of the Heinkells were done with CGI, why not the 109s too? Anyways, overall it was a very good movie, sure there was a love story, but it was done well and didnt jump to your face like in Pearl Harbor for example.
