Default SH5 and Windows 10 Issues

I just can't seem to get this to run on my computer. For reference, I am running TWoS, w/ the only optional mod being the campaign checker. I run the program as administrator, I have it set to Windows 7 compatibility, but still it chugs at like a 20 frames a second max as soon as there are 1 or 2 other ships on screen. The dpi thing however, is different for me than I usually see it written. Mine says "Override high dpi scaling behavior. "ehavior performed by: and then it lets me choose between 'application,' 'system,' and 'system (enhanced)'." I have tried all 3, and even then it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have any other options I can try? I really want to play this game, but it is impossible at these frame rates.

I had missed this actually. I have an Nvidia GPU, but don't have the options listed in the Nvidia Control Panel for that post. I have the options under "3D Settings," but the "Display" header is not even listed, let alone its sub-options. I'm on a laptop if that is relevant.

Further updates. I reinstalled the game, and it runs fine in vanilla. So the conflict is with TWoS I think. I've followed the instructions very carefully, several times at this point, so I don't think installation error is to blame. The only thing I could think that might be messing it up is when I got to turn off read-only on my Silent Hunter 5 folder and apply it goes through the process of changing all the sub-files, but when I open up properties again the read-only button is still filled.

I think I figured it out! My laptop has both an integrated graphics card and a real one. The game was being run through the integrated card, but when I switched to the real one it seems like it runs fine even with TWoS. I'm sure I will come crawling back if this ends up being a temporary fix, but thanks for the help so far!

My TWOS works on win 10, no compatibility change. A big problem people have is Not designating a new folder for sh5. In other words, do not install in programs (x86) or whatever number it is...

Not sure if that is your problem, just putting it out there to who read this!
