Default Playable CA Baltimore

Playable Baltimore Class Heavy Cruiser for Silent Hunter 4 v1.5
Author: ETR3(SS), Ubisoft Romania


This is a career playable Baltimore Heavy Cruiser based on the stock game files from Silent Hunter 4 v1.5. Of note in comparison to the stock Baltimore, is the addition of two more 5" 38 cal dual mounts #4 and #5. Both located port and starboard of the aft superstructure, respectively. These seem to be over looked during the initial development of them game.

Just wondering, is there a way I can increase the ammo on the 5" twin mounts?

Looking good! Ammo can be increased as we discussed before. Grab the guns_radars.dat and sim files (really only need the sim file but grabbing the dat makes finding what you need easier)and look for the 5in_Double_base_US. Use its ID number to find the corresponding shell in the sim file.

You should do a tutorial, i know there's already one on here but it's confusing and people blow my pms up asking if they can have a tutorial, once i send them the link they end up getting confused. So i hope when you make one it's more simple. By the way your templates help allot! Great job with that!

just to update.

There is an issue with the cannons. The main and twin barrel cannons all stop firing after a short time. I'm currently in a heated battle with a large convoy and whilst I have a ship locked, the cannons remain idle.

In my single mission, it did that, but I changed direction, went to the bridge again, used the binocs to spot the "target" with the space bar again, and it resumed firing. If you're in the main turret firing, and then leave, the other fellows seem to think that's all they have to do too, and quit when you leave. Put 'em at Battle Stations...

Ah, thanks. trouble was the crew was 'at battle Stations' and the binoculars was already locked on the target.
