Default Prepar3D version 2.0 released

Nobody noted it...? Me didn`t note it either...

http://www.prepar3d.com/news/2013/11/4648/

Don't ask me about it, find out yourself, right now I do not know more about it than you. I certainly expect support of modern hardware.

DirX11 gfx cards are a must, the sim does not run without it.

Fate of future PMDG products is unknown, since PMDG has exclusive contracts with licensing Boeing company that is a competitor of Lockheed. Whether old packs work on P3D 2.0, I do not know currently.

According to this

http://airdailyx.blogspot.de/2013/11...-prepar3d.html

http://forum.avsim.net/topic/426978-...dated-25nov13/

PMDG gives official support and development for P3D v2, but still is negotiating legal details with license partners. The old packs of theirs ran under P3D v1, no comes the question if users can run already bought packs under v2 as well, or must wait for new installers or new packs.

If somebody knows, let me know. This is the time I waited for, maybe. I had to do a complete system reinstall 2-3 months ago, and still had not pushed myself to do the FSX installation combo once again. If my beloved 737NGX or the new - to be bought - 777 can run under P3Dv2, I most likely skip FSX now, and perform the transfer to the new platform.

INFO URGENTLY WANTED !!!

He seems to talk more about legal stuff than tehcnical limits. The 737NGX enver was licensed for P3Dv1, but it ran reliably on that platform, youtube gives evidence, and many customers confirm it.

I hate the idea of having to give up my many european airport addons. But that is a question I need to direct at Aerosoft. The few addon aircraft I bought by RealAir, are a limited financial pain if they are lost. But the airports really would hurt.

Some more info found, and very important: this version again IS NOT 64 BIT, but 32 Bit. Confirmed info by Lockheed, going to 64 Bit would need to recompile to much stuff and especially addons.

Also, the hope for true multi-core support, has collapsed. Lockheed says it is better behaving under multi core environments, but it is not a multi core application.

This guy has more:
