Default GWX Core.

Does anybody know where I can get the GWX Core files. I don't like using the GWX installer and would prefer to add the core files myself from now on.

Thanks in advance, John

Install them to an empty folder (Where you copy temporarily your SH3.exe if the installer requires it), the copy them over somewhere else, then deinstall from the autoinstaller in your control panel. Now you have all files unpcked for you to do manual install of what you want. I did it long ago to have a backup when I am doing changes myself, works great for modding

The best I could do is make a JSGME version of GWX 3

BUT!! I can not do that without permission from the Chief of the Boat.
As for the back door to the core files?
I'm still waiting to see if anyone finds the proper key.

It may remain as GWX's Skeleton in the closet forever.

Well to tell you the truth I don't even know what the heck a back door is. I was thinking more along the lines of the JSGME version. If you could see your way to do that I would be much obliged Jeff.

@J0313
The way that Hitman described is good. Why not simply use that for now?

I tried it and it didn't work for me Blitz. I think because the .exe I have already has the 4 gig patch applied. I will run a fresh install later on today and see what happens.

There are some files deleted when installing GWX.
I'll have to check to see if I have the list on the external HD I have with me or if it's on the 2nd HD in my Notebook.
That one is disconnected right now.

Edit - Got the info I need on the external. Not bad for having nearly 9.5 years of age on the files!

That is pretty damn good Jeff. Since I started playing Sh in 2008 I have gone through three different computers and I still haven't learned to back anything up. Yes I am an IDIOT!

I pointed Jim to this thread to see what he thinks.
I know we have talked about a new installer with uninstall options or doing a JSGME version in the past.

Okay, I've tried it several time with a clean, unmodded .exe copied to several different newly made folders and I keep getting the same message that the installer found modded files. Heck, I even tried it in a completely empty newly created folder and it still tells me it found modded files. Im at a loss.

If you mean the GWX 3 installer? Make sure you guide it to the correct folder.

I think I am going to wait to see what you an Jimbuna hash out about this. I think it would be a benefit to have either/or a new installer or a JSGME pack-up.
