good work on your mod as you know i am trying this for the first time.................i opened up your OMEGU pkg and have loaded on top of RSRDC and your Monsun

OMEGU -v300
Patch 4

I dont want any thing else at the moment but what is
OM_MED_ENV and OM_PAC_ENV can i put these on after this install and what advantage do they provide.......

keep up the good work

Those change how the sea and sky look, they're environmental tweaks. If you plan to play in the Atlantic leave them out. If you plan to play in the Mediterranean use the MED_ENV. If you go to the Pacific, use PAC_ENV.

Lurker,

Do you (or any of the contributors) know how to have the control room camera remember it's last position, so that I can move from screen to screen and have the interiorfore cam stay where it was the last time I was there?

RFB 2.0 added this feature, but Luke can't remember how he did it. Can't blame him, with all the changes he made.

I've been hammering away at cameras.dat and the interiors in S3D, but nothing so far.

I'm asking in this thread as OM didn't touch the cameras.dat, but OMEGU does.

The 0 to 125 dial is the Torpedo Straight run. It's only available for Lut torpedoes, as is the small center red-green switch which controls the pattern angle.
I don't have the ability to read minds or hack your computer so you'll need to show me a screenshot of your dial problem. But I can already guess the problem. You're using automatic targeting and you can't figure out why you can't see the AOB Finder wheel, am I right? It's only available in Manual Targeting.

Excellent

But I wanted to raise a point: the Uboat skins with camouflage patterns are OK, but I myself would personally prefer flat ones. The patterns currently in OM are from north atlantic uboats, and not representative of the camouflage ones (If used) in the mediterranean, arctic or tropical seas.

Any chance of changing them or making additional flat ones available at last as option? What is needed to port the fantastic skins from Fubar for SH3 to OMonsoon?

Thanks

WARNING

It appears the "open hatch mod" in the original OMEGU Patch 5 is causing some CTDs. All 44 people that have downloaded it, please don't use the mod. I'm working on a fix.

I will be uploading a new version of patch 5 "without" the open hatch mod. There appears to be a conflict between some of the dat files in some of the ship models and some of the dat files in the "open hatch mod". Since this won't be a quick kill, but I will upload a new version whem this issue is resolved.

Special thanks to Wilcke and MattDizzle for point out the problem

One way to force the internal camera to go back to where you left it is to not click F2, or Shift+F2, but click to the bridge, then right-click twice. This will take you to the conning tower and then your last position in the control room.

I use the TMO setting so F9 takes me to the conning tower, then I right-click from there.

Thanks for the heads up Lurker! Out of curiosity, can this patch be installed while on patrol or should we always be in port when adding the patches? I know it's required to be in port for the main mod but wasn't sure, after rereading the first post, whether it was necessary for the patches. Thanks.
