Default Batfish Navy inspection day/ volunteer work day

This Saturday at the Batfish is the day the Navy inspection is, and the Park manager wants it to be a work day to show the navy that the Batfish is being looked after. So if anyone can come down to the Batfish, it would be greatl appreciated.

I had never read up on the Batfish before. I noticed the boat is sitting on land, and I mean ON the land. I hadn't seen this before! Do you know how long it's been that way?

I'd love to check out the Batfish if I ever go through Oklahoma.

Good luck on that. I'm wondering why the Navy would still care. I bet the sub vets are taking excellant care of her.

I may try to come up on March 7th or 8th when I get off the rig. My weekends are full for the next couple of months.

Cheers,
Kevin

The sub has been land-locked since the early 70's. She is in major need of an exterior over-haul to the tune of $60,000.

Shoot-Kill-Win, I'll be there this weekend cleaning up electronics in the control room.
