Age...........51
Live..........Suffolk, Virginia USA

Got out of the Navy in 76, 4 years on the USS Forrestal CV-59
Went to work at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, am an Electrician by trade. Started working mainly Subs.

92 got a white collar job, GS, as a Tech Rep and since 97 have been an Assessment Director (I take a team of Techs and we go onboard Surface and Submarines and assess/repair systems onboard about 5 months prior to deployment to ensure the systems are up and running OK). I get to travel quite a bit and meet a lot of people.

These days I am mostly doing Sub Visits. I love my job and working for the Government.

Name: Brian

Age: 37

Birthplace: Logan, WV

Physical Description: Brown hair (head currently shaved), blue eyes, 3 tatoos, beard w/long goatee, but I'm generally nicer than I look.

Married for 10 years, but currently separated.

Occupation: Network Admin for 16 years.

Favorite Games: Harpoon, Medieval Total War, Total Annihilation, Warcraft 3, and Seawolf.

Hobbies: Building computers, scuba diving, playing guitar with my Son (he plays guitar, I play bass).

Offspring: 14 year old male, called Logan.

My Son likes Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, and Mudvayne right now, so that's what we usually play. I listened to Metal in high school and never grew out of it, so it was reasonably easy to play songs that he likes. So we stay up late on the weekends and jam.

Name: Richard Scott

Age:51

Birthplace: Ventura, Ca.

Raised in Grass Valley, then Benicia, CA.

Served 6 years USN 1972-78 as a Destroyer sonarman aboard USS Schofield(DEG-3) & USS Elmer Montgomery(FF-1082). Another combat veteran, 4 months on the gun line in Vietnam.
Specialized as MK 114 Underwater Fire Control Systems tech working on ASROC and MK 32 torpedo tubes. Oversaw one of the first Harpoon system installs aboard the Elmo Magoo. Worked telecommunications for the past 25 years, mainly on fiberoptics and point-to-point microwave radio systems. Currently maintaining radio sites throughout the New Mexico area on the mountaintops here.

Got a question for Sailor Steve. I knew a friend who served aboard the Brinkley Bass, although his name escapes me. He said that whenever the Boatswain's Mates would get PO'd at the First Lieutenant aboard her, they would paint over the B's on the ships hull, rendering USS Brinkley Bass to USS Rinkley Ass. Can you confirm if this story is true?
