He arrived on his latest vessel (Maasdam) yesterday and is currently on the St. Lawrence River in Quebec.

Not too long a trip this time as he'll be back to attend his sisters wedding in September but will be returning to his vessel the day after.

We see the Maasdam here in Charlottetown every couple of weeks during the cruise ship season.

We, the family arrived home from the wedding on Monday afternoon and the boy slept at ours before being picked up by taxi at 3.30am Tuesday morning to fly out to Nicaragua to rejoin his ship (Maasdam).

It was great to see him if only for a short time but he performed his duties as the Usher at his sisters wedding in an exemplary fashion.

Not as much as previously. He's talking about taking his Masters in Jan or Feb then going into Maritime Law or something like that.

The boy is currently travelling west across the Pacific enroute to Honolulu, Hawaii.

He will be looking forward to the weeks ahead because this is an area he has never visited and will include a visit to Easter Island and eventually, New Zealand.

My dad was stationed at Pearl Harbor (1950s). My mom and dad married in Honolulu and my brother was born there. Still mad at them for moving back when my dad was discharged.
