Default Picked up Silent Hunter II on GoG

Hi all, picked this up awhile ago and checking it out. Saw all the neat mods here. I'll have to check these out and see which ones I'd like.

I have SH III, had it installed a long time ago. I'm not going to install it again, though. If I recall, it still has some drm on it that I don't want to install.
Future hunting.

The simple solution there is to purchase a newer copy of SH3. It's much better than SH2, it's DRM-free, it's cheap on Amazon, and if you use the link from this website Subsim gets a small cut at no extra cost to you. Everybody wins!

If you still have your old copy, the latest patches for stock SHIII remove Starforce. However, as Sailor Steve suggested, it may be easier to buy a new copy.

I didn't realize a newer version was drm free. That's a possibility. I don't want to install my version and hope the patch gets rid of starforce completely.

Yep. It has been DRM free for a while. I bought my copy from Direct2Drive back in 2010 and there was no DRM. That was patched out when Vista was still new. There are still multiplayer codes issued, I think. However, these are moot since Ubi.com no longer has severs up.
