Myril, I have already tried SH3Speech, my OS is a XP SP3 too. It is a great idea but the XP recognition engine does not understand german. So you have to shout german commands as if they were english words. Finally I have given up, it did not work properly.
It will work better in Vista, because the built in speech recognition understands german. First tests of the Windows 7 implemented spech recognition engine showed a massive improvement. Although I am happy with my XP SP3, I will switch to W7 because of this issue.

Where do I get the previous version of the SDK? Do I need to have it to make SDK 5.1 work?

hallo friedl9te, ich denke mal das du deutsch verstehst. nun, da ich windows xp habe muss ich damit leben das speechsdk hier nur englisch versteht, was auch nicht das problem ist. habe schon des öfteren mit sprachsteuerung gespielt und das auch mit englischen befehlen. doch nun geht der mod leider nicht da ich, wen ich gwx_sh3speech oder olc_sh3speech nutze, eben die meldung bekomme die ich im oberen post als pic abgebildet habe. normalerweise bekommt man da die sprachbefehle aufgelistet die man in das micro spricht, doch nun kommt immer der selbe spruch und muss die engine restarten. bin mit mein latein am ende, habe allerlei microsoft zeugs auf meinem rechner draufgehauen (framenetwork, ms visual c++, etc) aber ich bekomm das ding einfach nicht mehr zum laufen. ich weiß einfach nicht mehr weiter und ich brauch diesen mod unbedingt da sh3 damit einfach nicht so toll ist.

Ich habe eine ziemlich frische XPSP3 Installation, werde es mal kurz installieren und gucken. Hatte es schon mal installiert da gab es kein Problem von der Funktion her.

If it works depends on if your Vista interface language matches with the languages available in Windows Speech Recognition, or if you have Vista Ultimate. You are lucky that there is a german speech recognition option. I, having chosen the dutch language when installing Vista Home Premium, cannot make use of it at all. It refuses to start because it doesn't know how to speak dutch.

was für programme hast du drauf friedl9te, einzusehen bei software z.b. sowas wie framenetwork oder visual basic, was auch immer, damit ich schauen kann was mir fehlt oder es fehlt mir irgendwas systeminternes.

non-English Windows Vista Home problem
Solution for non-English Windows Vista Home editions (the problem with them is they refuse to work with speech recognition):

Install an application that bypasses the Vista HOME restrictions and lets you install any original microsoft additional language pack and use it as the language of your interface easily. Then install English language and voila - your speech recognition works like a charm. I did it on my rig, it works.

SH3 Commander problem
Some reported the mod doesn't work properly when the game is launched via SH3 Commander. I had the same issue, but I found that it ceased when I checked OFF the "run as administrator" option for both the SH3 Commander and SH3.exe. Try it, it may help in your case too.
