I've got a "100 FalloftheRisingSun_Ultimate_v.1Beta_EN" that's only 737mb. That must be the problem. The title I downoladed must have the older set of files.

I'll look for the larger file on the Google Site.

================

Just checked the Google site. Yep there's an v0.6Alpha and the v.1Beta. I don't know how it happened, but my download of the titled v.1Beta is not the 928mb that's in the Google site folder. I could send you an image of my "Downloads" folder showing the v.1Beta as having the 737mb content......but I'll just try to download again.

I can also confirm that I am using 100 FalloftheRisingSun_Ultimate_v.1Beta_EN, and can see CapnScurvy's work in game

I'm checking the beta release now. Hap extra folder is gone. All CapnScurvy's readme, keyboard layout.jpg etc in root directory is there. Mod size is right...... Gato interior shows 2 .cam, 2 .dat files from June and July 2016.

Looks like we have it right, at least on the surface of it. And last night I noticed how the camera moved back in office view. Wish I would have taken a periscope peek before I quit the game and then got whisked off to save the world. Everything I can check here says your stuff is there, Capn!

Good to hear that I'm the only one messed up. I'm about half way through the new Download.

I don't know how a titled compressed file can become something else during the download....but it did.

Anyway it should be good after the new download.

They're coming to take us away
Ha ha, ho ho, hee hee!!

I just took it for granted that I had screwed the pooch. But double-checking is good!

Moral of story, children, friends:
When I screw up I shouldn't re-upload with the same version number. When I screwed up the first .1 beta, the replacement should have been .15 beta and nobody would have the wrong version. Just shoot me! I'm strictly an amateur at this stuff. Won't happen again.

Well, there was a small fire. I never should have replaced .1 Beta with .1 Beta just because the first release was defective. That left me with two .1 Beta versions in the wild. I deserve a spanking on that one!

Can I check with anyone running 100 FalloftheRisingSun_Ultimate_v.1Beta_EN?

In mission the Weapons and sensors tab seems to be un-useable again?

I am sure CapnScurvy had this fixed in the Alpha of his Optics and Interior Mod?

Or am I now running 'Soup of the Day'?

I am now finding that JSGME's compare files with original function is essential when you're playing around with huge mods like FOTRS Ultimate. It won't remove the entire mod twice in a row. Be very careful!

I have managed to remove most of the shouting the crew make when a torpedo hits,by going to the data/speech files...Their I found 9 folders which contained Ch-torpedo impact files I removed all of them and tried out a training mission, sink the cruiser...All I have from the crew is a subdued "yes" when the torpedoes hit..Not the greatest solution but it seems to work..Update...Currently out of Midway and lurking s.e. of Yokohama....2 fishing boats 1 jap zero and 2 type B freighters are feeding the fish...Seems like removing the files fixed the problem...

Now, Rabid, you can turn that into a mod. Save several zero length files with the same names as the files you replaced. Then make a JSGME mod with those new "sound" files in the \data\speech directory.

So your mod structure will look like NoDamnCelebrating\data\speech, with \speech containing the sounds of silence files under the same names as the files that celebrate. Zip it all up (I use 7zip) and you've made a mod!

You know, I've often wondered why JSGME didn't work with compressed files directly.......

Same here. Can't access the Weapons and Sensors Tab either. can confirm that CapnScurvy's work is visible.
