That's something I'm afraid I can't fix, I opened all the required ports in my router and it still gives me that issue that people have dificulty joining

I should find a way to have that server start with Windows; always forget to start it. Not that it would have made a difference on this occasion since the PC was off, but still.

July 31st 1940

Luftwaffe target: Dover area

Enemy activity was on a reduced scale; this may have been partly due to the lack of cloud cover when operations were attempted on the South Coast, but it was also noteworthy that enemy aircraft not infrequently turned away as soon as our fighters were sent to intercept. Successful interceptions, however, were made, resulting in one Ju88 and one Do215 being regarded as probable casualties off Dungeness and the Isle of Wight respectively, and one Me109 being shot down near Dover.

CASUALTIES:
  • Enemy: Fighters - 1 confirmed; Bombers - 2 unconfirmed.
  • Own: 2 Spitfires (both 74 Squadron)

Red Leader - 74 Squadron - RAF Hornchurch

Weather fine, blue skies for once! Took off to patrol Dover - Margate line, heard squawks from the Hurris that 109s were over Shakespeare Cliffs so turned to intercept.
Found a smoking 109, he looked in a pretty terminal way so let him go.
Stumbled across another 109 attacking a Spit, so latched onto him and gave him a quick burst after I'd caught up with them both. He swung away and leapt off like a scalded cock, lost him somewhere over Kent then found two contacts, one smoking...lined up behind them ready to fire...and then realised that they were Hurricanes....

Returned to base emptied handed but still alive, unlike a few others.

Pilots Notes:
Must stop playing with prop pitch when it is not needed
My rudder controls are possessed by the devil or Dungeness power station
Must learn differences between 109 and Hurricane from behind...

Damaged 109 being chased by two Spits, I leave him to his fate.

In hindsight the little hump should have been the giveaway...I knew something didn't seem right, so I closed further to pos-ident..and then saw they were Hurricanes...
