Default schnorchel on type IXC submarines?

maybe a silly question but;

i know that the type IXC/40 had a schnorchel unit like many other german submarines late war, but did the type IXC variant have one too at some point? i cannot seem to find good pictures or drawings of it having one at all, i find pictures and info for type VII#, type IXC/40 or type IXD2 and others, but not the IXC itself, not ones that clearly state it did, unless this is correct but i think its for the IXC/40 too:

basically i am asking this since i am thinking of adding a schnorchel unit to my (soon to be built/modded) revell IX/U505 modelkit, but only if i can confirm it had one (and as such can confirm as to what pieces i'd need... maybe kitbash and take it from the IXC/40 kit...).

help is appreciated, maybe the more knowledgeable folks amongst subsim know about this particular detail...
