Default Jutland ship models...

Is there a way to modify the ship models in Jutland by importing them into 3DS Max?

The file format is NKM and I can't find any reference to it as a 3d file format anywhere. I'm looking for either an import tool or another tool that can modify a model into something that 3DS Max can import such as OBJ.

Thanks!

I would imagine that the most paranoid wargame company "ever" made sure to place files in a format that prevents the user from putting their grubby little pirating fingers on them. I could be wrong, I just doubt it.
