Okay, I'm officially fast-forwarding this campaign to completion, either today or tomorrow. This map just has too many errors to properly do many of the important engagements.

Any suggestions as to the subject of the next campaign? I was thinking of either trying to do Khalkhin Gol again, or maybe the Jassy-Kishinev Offensive...

Probably should get something with slightly more aircraft diversity and a bigger air threat.

I'd say that was a rather bizzare game...

Really need to work on channeling Sir Francis Drake for this whole navigation thing.

It wasn't so bad once I got the hang of navigation, it was just a case of working out the bearing of Midway from the carrier and/or seeing what direction the KGVs guns were pointing in Then holding that course at high altitude until you spy land and then get shot down by Schroeder or Task Force.

Yeah, that's all very nice and simple, until you don't notice you're turning slightly, slowly changing bearings and find yourself in the middle of the ocean with no land in sight...

One eye on the speed/course/height bar at all times And altitude, lots of altitude because if you do go off course for a minute you can usually just about get yourself back on course again in time to get within visual range if you're at altitude. Obviously if you're low level then you'll have a harder time finding the island.

Although if your name is Charles C.Taylor, forget it.
