Cavite is on the long list of "inaccurate" locations. The surprise of it all, is that Pearl Harbor is not done correctly, and as some have mentioned, Mare Island is actually Treasure Island. Mare was North of, and further into the bay, and the Pearl submarine base was on the other side of the Navy yard, in the southeast corner of the East Loch. No submarines start at Cavite currently in FotRSU, so the docks haven't been moved. There was a dock on that side of the peninsula, though it was a straight dock that ran parallel to shore. It was used for the airfield that isn't there in the game. If we ever add-in a Cavite start, I'll move the docks over, and put a C3 Sub Tender out in the bay and name it Otus, with a fake Holland up near the Manila docks, "inside the breakwater", and the Canopus at out Mariveles. Some of that is already in-place. The Hurricaines will disappear, to be replaced by some Brewster Buffaloes (USFighter), the pride of the USAAC in the Manila area (why would ~anyone~ have purchased those beasts???). Maybe a couple P-40s blasting everyone's ear drums out...

Now, has anyone besides cdrsubron7 noticed that Mios Woendi has been moved several hundred miles east? Milne Bay is redone? Manus Island redone?... Tulagi?? Majuro??... All of these are more accurate now, but we're still throwing darts at the wall while blindfolded... - there just isn't that much info to be found on most installations during WWII. We also want to add-in some more PT boat "facilities", since those were usually nearby, such as Base 21 at Mios Woendi...

New copy works well. Audio is fine. I've also noted the speed limit for time compression has been removed. Great work!

The main cfg was created after a clean installation with zero saved files or Silent Hunter folders in Documents/SH4/data/cfg/main.cfg file

It gets deleted on every single fresh installation and has for years and years. I won't even change mods without a fresh installation. To many issues arise.

With the latest version it is all a mute point any way.

My TC setting max is now 4096... what gives with this?... Where are you, CapnScurvy? He showed you his!

There are also some issues with submarine availability, but we'll straighten that out next round. I have not found an issue that crashes the game, it's just an inappropriate sub for the location and the missions given. No biggie, and was still fun, if early (NOT the Gato or Balao or Tench, CapnScurvy)...

Also, thus far, the "Status Report" stuff seems to be getting appropriate calls from the DynamicMiss file, other than it doesn't care if you're an Asiatic Fleet sub, CenPac sub, or a NorPac sub - but that is a Stock game issue also, that affects all SH4 mods. I might have an idea on that, but it's probably just hare-brained drivel. I'll test and let you guys know...

uh, i am observing a CTD at game exit. every time.
since i am exiting, it is not affecting play but still....
is this one of the known problems with .81?

The new version is up. You can do away with the kludge of the old-new version... Check page one of the thread, and see if it still crashes on exit with that... Also, you probably meant "sH.sdl", not "sd.sdl"?

yeah, whatever...on the typos...you knew what i was talking about.

speling is a mute point round jere because ther are to many of your who caint rekognize creck speling nohow. i be-a feared wit some of da speling i sees jere.

anyway, the CTD appears to be connected to Main.cfg. i backed all the way out and reapplied .81 and the CTD went bye-bye.

what was the root-cause for the .WAV upload problem?

Is there a way to put Capt Scurvy's clean installation and managed JSGME order as a sticky right under the first post? I think it would be nice to have that close to the download link.

OK new, fresh, clean install. No saves, no folder in my documents. Complete zero before new installation. 100_FalloftheRisingSun_Ultimate_v0.81_RC1_PublicBe , Mod loaded with JSGME.

A few things to note.

I started at Pearl in the Narwhal. Dec 8 1941

Mission is agent insertion.

Sea trial. I have two deck guns both allow crewmen to be on station but only one can be manually controlled and that is th rear one.

As soon as the crew arrives to the weapon they have no shirts. I look in dismay and they put their shirts on.

I send the boat down to see when we die ... crush depth.

We get to 500 feet before damage begins to occur. I surface with 25% hull damage.

I stop the game and load our leaving base. The game loads then crashes.

I create a new career. I do the same things. I reload the save out of Pearl ... the game loads then crashes as before.

Is this an issue with the Narwhal???

I am about to try another boat to see if they all do it.

I have finished the previous procedures with Salmon and Porpoise They are sent to Honshu to await orders and I have had no crashes.

The deck gun crews come to the weapon with no shirts on any crewman for the Porpoise and then the shirts and caps appear about a minute later.

On the Salmon it is only the CPOs who have their shirts off and again about a minute later the shirts and caps appear.

This is the first time I have ever seen this occur.

I retried the Narwhal and again no save game can be loaded on it. It CTD as soon as the lead completes.
