Just a couple of questions before you take my money..

What version of CW are we getting from GOG?
How does the GOG version patch/update?

Its exactly the same version that is on Steam.
Both are DRM free.

There are some of us who don't do Steam.

If a patch or update comes out, how do we get it?

I pulled the trigger! I have been interested since release but did not think my PC would be up to it. Checked the Steam compatibility check tool and was surprised by the positive return. I then saw the GOG push, so continued holding off. Loved RSR and sure this will be a successor in my mind as it is in many others.

The discount was icing on the cake and sealed the deal.

Thank you KF Games!

Default Steam to GOG

I bought Cold Waters on steam. A couple of days later, I find it on sale at GOG.
I am not complaining but can i set the game up where I do not have to go through steam? I am not impressed by steam.

Correct, the Steam and GOG versions are 100% the same and can be run directly from the executable.

Well, that was a bummer.
Either GOG doesn't like my card or my card doesn't like GOG.

Maybe next time?

I will soon get your games on GOG.
For those who wonder if it's better than Steam, and how it works on GOG, it goes like this:

You download your purchased games, you install, you double-click the exe file or shortcut and : you play. No disturbing game interface or other ****e, you can concentrate on the game, and the game only

To update a game: You launch a program called 'GOG Galaxy', there you log in once so the program remembers your account, you see immediately which update versions are available and you download, update and continue playing. Simple, and no, you don't need to launch this program every time, only when you want to update.

Thanks Killerfish Games for your interesting sales!

So, it works exactly the same way it does on steam then LOL.
Because you don't need to have the client open to run it and open steam to update it.

Count me in for Cold Waters .

I have no problem buying from GOG and prefer it as often as possible as you CAN play offline vs Steam not always being the case . You do have to do the GOG Galaxy online thing to update though .

Sometimes you just want to play a game offline , or its due to servers down , ISP down , or what ever the case or reason ; without all the bs .
