I'm eager to see what you've done with the room. It'll be like our own little Subsim home makeover reality thread. I love that stuff! *claps hands*

Very nice Jim, nice desk there and love the 'Signal' on the wall. Curious, it looks a lot smaller than the dimensions you've measured but I'm reckoning that's the angle you took that pic from.

Possible that there have been shadows that might look like the green although they are black.

That's very kind of you

Next instalment

Six 6' lengths of 2"x2" dressed timber for cabinet stand materials

The wall the cabinets will stand against...notice the step on the second picture down. That is there because it covers the angle of the stairs leading to the ground floor.

This is an online picture of one of the cabinets (they each come in two pairs) measuring 120cm wide x 128cm tall x 40cm deep.

I seriously miscalculated the building of said cabinets thinking they could be built vertically or horizontally therefore you will notice later on the room could only accomodate three of the four pairs

Next will be the building of the stand by the worst carpenter in history

Rgr that Jamie...what I really need is a DSLR with a wide angle lens to do the photographs justice

Is the mirror placement there to give the illusion of greater dimensions, or so you may admire your handsomeness?

As to the Worlds worst carpenter?
I doubt that because I've worked with him and he still lives nearby!!

I have my 'gift' from Grant mounted above my station also!

Great minds think alike.

Mrs TarJak and I were just reading this thread and she reckons that the wallpaper and curtains are lovely and that it takes a real man to show his feminine side.

@Jeff: Thanks mate glad to see me artwork hanging in such hallowed galleries.

So Jim, How can you get this build done if you keep posting?

As I do this stuff for a living? I am really interested to see your work progress.

You are going to use screws and not nails right?

Someone is offline...safe to post

Time to commence the display cabinet stand:

The conservatory is a comfortable temperature at this time of year....get out the workbench and put it in the conservatory...

Sorted out the saw and the portable workbench...I'm not a carpenter capabale of producing joints so I purchased 19mm angle brackets and screws to fit.

The building of the display cabinet base begins...
