Default Can't get SH3 Commander working

Hi folks. I've just installed SH3, GWX3 and SH3 Commander on my new Windows 10 laptop. I'm running SH3 in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode and GWX is running fine.

Unfortunately SH3 Commander isn't. It isn't implementing any of the checkable options - most importantly, crew randomisation.

Any ideas as to what I could do?

Installed them both to to the default location (I believe C:/Windows/Program Files (x86) but don't quote me)

For the record I discovered the cause of the problem: if one runs in compatibility mode, both have to. In this case I was running SH3 in XP SP3 compatibility mode, and forcing SH3 Cdr to do the same got them talking to each other properly.

Hence I've had a successful patrol around Britain in September 1939, sinking lone French merchant ships before being ordered not to by BdU, then nearly being rammed by a Flower class corvette up near Greenock in a stinking Atlantic gale, and having to pass up the chance of sinking a Southampton class cruiser after BdU instructed all U boats to avoid attacking British capital ships until further notice. Gotta love those GWX immersion messages!
