Default Video Driver Question

Hey, I gotta question for you guys. I'm not sure why my ASUS StrixR7 370 video card updated to the latest AMD driver sometime after or during the latest Win 10 update "Creator Fall". But it did. Now when I start SHIII via SH3 Commander, the game won't automatically adjust resolutions to 1024x768 and filling my 22" WS monitor. Its an easy fix by just rolling back to an older driver, yea I understand that. But is there a way to make the latest AMD driver, dated 11/1/2017 work, by automatically adjusting the resolution and filling my screen. I'd like to be able to use the latest drivers. The AMD driver dated 4/24/2017 works great anyway, that's what I been using. I don't really mind using that one. I don't use a WS Mod, I use the regular stock resolution. 1024x768. I'm not sure if it's a setting or the newer driver dosen't support that resolution or what. Don't know a whole lot bout this stuff. I would be thankful for any assistance on this ... DOOLAR

Windows has updated your gpu driver as part of the Creator updating process.

It cannot and never will because 1024x768 is a 4.3 aspect ratio based around the old VGA monitors so will always cut the sides off from filling the screen and your ASUS monitor is proably has a 16.9 aspect ratio.

To fill your screen you need to use a widescreen mod like Ahnenerbe's and set the SH3 in game graphic options to Full Screen.
If you were able to fill your screen everything surely would be stretched?
If you are not playing anyother latest games then using an older driver is not going to be a problem.
I rolled back my driver and only play SH games and there has been no gpu problems once you reset the settings in the gpu control panel.

You need to check your saved games folders main cfg file and check that the first 3 lines of Video settings are correctly set.
