Default Assisted plotting mod-4-GWX3

===== Assisted Plotting mod for GWX3 Version 1.0 By Benzin =====
IMPORTANT: This concept is NOT my own! i just adapted it to work with GWX. This mod is based on the original "1.4b assisted plotting mod" made by a person called Observer, and its also used in NYGM.

You cant just use the original 1.4b assisted plotting mod with GWX3 because you loose the bearing overlay in the map you get when you zoom in, so this mod takes a somehow different approach, by replacing the xxx_shp.tga files with "invisible" ones. You get the benefits of the mod, and keep your bearing overlay.

== INSTALLATION:
Just install via JSGME as usual, and make sure map contact updates is enabled under realism settings.

== BUT WHAT IS IT?
For those who dont know how assisted plotting works:
The whole idea is to reduce the tedious drawing of lines and bearing conversions needed when map contact updates in off to a minimal, BUT without having a full eye of god map that gives you a situational awareness you get with map udpates on, that no uboat captain had.

- On the surface: You dont see the contacts on the map at all. You might still have to do an initial plot to his position, but once you know where he is, hovering your mouse cursor over his estimated position pops up a circle with his estimadted location, so you can put an "X" on it and start plotting his course. Just as if you were using full manual plotting, minus struggling with bearing conversions and rulers.
You might need to do this twice just to get his estimated course, but after that you can just hover over his projected position and the circle will show up, so you can confirm his position. Of course if you manage to "guesstimate" his position on the map very well (e.g. he is very close), you wont have to do ANY initial line drawing at all.

- Underwater: you get small dashes indicating the direction of the contacts, but you do NOT get a full line indicating exactly how far away he is.

- Convoy & task force contact reports do show up on the map as usual. However due to an unavoidable (AFAIK) side effect, single ship contact reports will no longer show up on map. I dont think this can be avoided.

enjoy!
