Shoot me an email address - PM and I'll send it.

_ECOPTC OV 2_0_0.zip is only 566K.

Or, if you're a member of, or can access this:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/...cThunder/files it is there.

FYI the _EPOPTC3000.zip is something completely different, it is a plotting tool that uses the SH1 maps.

Kim's manual targeting tools are also in the files section... he is the master of manual targeting. If you try to join the group, I'll see it and will let you in. The group is inactive now but I keep it up for archive purposes.

Hi Tim, I uploaded _ECOPTC OV 2_0_0.zip to Subsim. Check your PM's.

A few years ago Kim gave me permission to upload a few of his programs to Subsim, I have, and it turns out that this gem is also one of them... plus it is appropriate to have here at Subsim, because US Boats used ciphered comms.

My email to you was returned. Gmail won't allow exe files to be sent, even in a zip. I scanned it with my AV so that isn't the problem, it is their policy.

Happy Hunting! & keep up the great work on your project.

Hi aanker,

I have downloaded ECOPTC from Subsim. Looking forward to creating ciphered comms while on war patrol. Thanks again for sharing this info!

That is awesome Tim. Shows dedication and a yearning for realism. I thought those with flight sims were dedicated, but you sir have topped them all. You must be Navy all the way.

Cool ! Looking forward to seeing your pictures.

You say that you made a periscope? I have a couple things that may still be of interest to you regarding periscopes.

Default Here's a teaser

KK

Not quite ready for viewing but here's a teaser.

The door is having the details installed but you can see 2 of the 8 speakers(7.1 surround) inside the "command room.
It's actually my utility room so there's lotsa pipes in there.
It's very odd walking into my basement and seeing this doorway down there next to the laundry. lol

will post more soon.

As to my periscope, it "functions" in that it has a monitor inside it and controls via a key pad. Mine folds up against the ceiling as opposed to sliding sideways.

Default Here's a couple more pix

As I said, nuthin is quite finished here but everything is pretty much operational.

Here's the periscope up. You can see main controls with custom keyboard in the background. "Nav" station(with another monitor/wireless keys and mouse just to the left, out of the pic

Scope down

View thru eye piece

My set up is kinda more ww2 submarine-esque than submarine. Still some details to finish but it's together.
The sound is awesome. Being depth charged should be pretty realistic. lol.

p.s. Yes, that a working relative bearing indicator on the scope. It can track up to 4 targets at once.
