Default Does SH4 Support A 21:9 Aspect Ratio?

My current monitor is starting to show some signs of age and probably does not have much left in the tank, so I've been looking into a new monitor for my computer. As I'm looking at newer designs most of them have a 21:9 aspect ratio.

So I'm wondering if anyone has played SH4 on such a monitor or know that it won't be supported or will be supported.

As per this Wikipedia post, it would seem the 21:9 aspect ratio MIGHT be compatible with the 4:3 and 16:9 ratios (since their related to what power you add to the 4:3 base ratio......in the 21:9 case its actually 64:27. A power of three). This would suggest the game would recognize the monitor and allow it to display correctly since both 4:3 and 16:9 are options with the game.

It should be noted that the game does not have the viewable world scaled correctly in the more common aspect ratios (4:3; 16:9), so I wouldn't think the true 64:27 ratio would be any different. The problem is corrected with the standard aspect ratios using the mod Optical Targeting Correction, but I have no way of knowing if a 64:27 aspect ratio could be corrected with one of the existing OTC aspect ratio mods. I tend to believe it would not.

So, purchasing such a monitor might work great if your wanting to watch Blue Ray movies without the small black bands either at the top or sides of the screen. But, for typical computer game viewing, I'm thinking a more traditional aspect ratio would be possible with this monitor....so use a 16:9 aspect ratio (probably will have some black banding) and fix the scaling of the games world view with the OTC 16:9 aspect ratio correction.

Thanks for that in depth answer, it will figure heavily in my final decisions when I buy.
