Holy Heavens, I am ever more impressed by what Google Translator is capable of now, even subtle nuances most often get corrczly translated and transported. I had skipped a translation on the Vienna gymnasium thre eposts above, since I thought the certain tone of that text would not get covered - but it gets covee dindeed. So, while bengn late, here is the link to the English translation.

https://translate.google.com/transla...467&edit-text=

I am quite certain by now that the AI research by Google's Alpha Zero team plays heavily into their translator, the translator has more or less all of a sudden jumped to such a dramatic level of improved competence that it really jumps to the eye that obviously something dramatic must have happened there some months ago.

"The National Interest" gets it right about why there is a succession of the hard-dying misery named Great Coalition. Its all about trying to let the AfD erode from within.

Its just that I think it will not work. Chaos and misbehaviour as political program can work very well, and fanatize your fans, Trumps proves it. The AfD will most likely score due to similiar reasons. Italy just two days ago has voted right, there are shifts to the right across Europe. People are pissed. The fat cats in established elites ignore it and think they just need to sit it out.

The SPD controls the finance ministry and that means it controls the budgets and policy fomring in all other minisitries. The SPD also controls the foeeign ministry and thus can shift towards left EU politics as it pleases. Both will cost Germany dearly.

A sharp, pointy comment and analysis by Günther Ederer, one smart guy of a journalist. I read him frequently, have two of his books. Google-Bot translation.

Every rejection of political correct mainstream rhethoric and rejection to bow knees to the commanded collective consensus - today is called "hate rhethorics" in Germany. Especially by left-leaning media like Die Zeit who often get their fair dosis of the volleys fired by Achse des Guten.

There are three categories of people that I can not stand, basically and cautiously said. One is the always-pragmatic pragmatist. Although I also know that you can not always have things your way by wantign to go with your head through the wall: being a pragmatist out of a spiritual and character attitude is worthy of contempt. The pragmatists, who even think they are wise, are succeeded by the opportunists, who are to be met with disgust. And finally there are the conformists as probably the worst evil to call. No decent person can tolerate so much vileness. - Ludwig Erhard

On Günther Ederer:
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%BCnter_Ederer.
He is a highly-profiled, very precisely working former TV economy journalist and book author on economy matters. He is decidedly against planned-economy, lying politics and "deep state".

Translation of the article:
(it is from 2015, and the "axis" blog has only deteriorated, since then)

"Without me!
The publicist Michael Miersch has left the blog "axis of good" because it was too hostile.
By Mariam Lau
February 12, 2015 1 Comment
From the
TIME No. 05/2015

Setting the stage for a liberal counter-public, per Israel, per America, per capitalism, against the downfall conjurations of the environmental movement - that was the founding impulse for the political blog Axis of the Good. When it went online in 2004, it was initially a kind of bottle post, with a small community of writers in the circle of the ecocritical duo Dirk Maxeiner / Michael Miersch and the publicist Henryk M. Broder wrote in Rage. In a good mood, they wanted to bring the good news to the people that the forest does not die, capitalism defeats hunger, and America's military power goes hand in hand with moral integrity. Axis of the good, that was the antipode to the "axis of evil", as the then American President George W. Bush Iraq, Iran and North Korea had identified.

The bottle post from that time has become one of the most visited political blogs in Germany. But just now, with the axis of good reporting one million visitors per month, one of the founders says goodbye: Michael Miersch, 58, is appalled by the direction the blog has taken. He has promised his former colleagues not to talk about his criticisms with other journalists, but he has made them public on Facebook, where hundreds of previous readers have since joined him. "On the axis, a mood has spread," said Miersch, "which has little in common with the originally liberal, cosmopolitan and enlightened attitude." Not only did Axis writers recently sympathize with the AfD's culture-pessimistic attitude and the resentment of the Pegida movement. Miersch also reports hateful letters to the editor. In them, people are phoning about names that sound strange to them. People said "Islam criticism" and said, "I hate everyone who is different from me." The euro is described as the "worst destruction since the Second World War", Germany as a refuge of decadence.

But the real Urkonflikt occurred on an October night 2014. Broder had made in a post about making fun of the fact that in Berlin a senior prosecutor was declared the point of contact for victims of homophobic violence. "Small offenses such as robberies without injuries are not prosecuted," Broder had written. "In the case of perpetrators with a migration background, the origin is deliberately disguised. (...) Both the police and the judiciary lack staff. Everywhere? No, not everywhere." Miersch took the text from the blog, Broder put it back on it, Miersch distanced himself in a separate entry: "422 cases of violence against homosexuals were reported in Berlin within a year," he wrote angrily. "Who, how Broder, thinks you should pay more attention to property offenses or Hütchenspieler instead of beaten-up gays, has a rather perverted sense of justice."

Broder is reluctant to respond to the allegations. "What he rides or has ridden," he says about Miersch's farewell, "I do not know, and I do not care, I'm not his shrink, Dirk and I go on anyway and wish Michael only the best." Miersch had never complained to them about the political orientation or a censorship of his views, says Broder. "We have a very wide range of opinions, and we are only one-sided when it comes to German anti-Americanism, anti-Semitism and the energy transition, and Michael has never bothered about that, on the contrary." Miersch would even continue to be a shareholder of the "axis of good".

With his mockery of "left-wing sluts", about gays, the long-Islamized Germany and the "parasitic pack" of do-gooders, Broder and his colleague Maxeiner are now assured of an applause they would never have achieved with the original circle of freedom-loving homeless."

Of course it is easier and need less effort to just bash and hate foreigners. Problem is the worst evil the world suffers from is not the strength of evil, but the weakness of the better.

Günther Ederer. Gunnar Heihnsohn.

Thats the authors I am interested in.

The war between the agitators of Die Zeit, and Broder, is a very long one, and the mutual antipathy is deep and cordial and well-proven. And many quotes ripped out of context and many suggestive wordings had been fired as well - and Broder certainly is not the kind of shy guy leaving such invitations unanswered. Nobody should be surprised that both sides have few friendly things to say about each other.

The article however is right in that the mix of authors contributing to Die Achse has become wider, and more diverse. And believe it or not, I do not take it all for gospel myself at all. Especially the guy frequently contributing to the theme of climate warming I take with a dose of caution, if I read him at all.

But Gunnar Heinsohn and Günther Ederer - that are different callibres, very different.

Just trying to defame somebody by attacking another author who has not even written the article. Well, seen it before, will see it again, no doubt.

Leaving high-ranking navy officer gets square with political leadership of the Bundeswehr.

https://translate.google.de/translat...tml&edit-text=

Quote:
The attractiveness of the Navy can not be fed by the overemphasis of location daycare and a soldiers working time regulation. It is more important to engage in a value system with such old-fashioned categories as bravery and sacrifice, camaraderie and loyalty. And to see meaning in one's own work.
(...)
Horn was also dissatisfied with the increasing bureaucratization in his eyes as well as the long absences he had been ordered to, including a four-month delegation to Rome in the EU headquarters there. So he had not seen the crew of the frigate "Mecklenburg-Vorpommern" ten months. This is an untenable condition, "Supervision is more than standing at the pier when docking or departing and waving." All in all, in his time as commander, "nothing has improved".
These incompetent laymen in political ranks simply know nothing about military culture and the possibilities and limits of military forces. They should run a barber shop, a children day care center, or their own little food store. But not an army. Nobody without professional military service experience should be allowed to head the defence ministry.

Only warriors should be allowed to lead warriors.

The decline of "made in Germany".

https://translate.google.de/translat...ste&edit-text=

A luxurious position they are in. More drive and motivation in your economy you cannot wish for. Competition, but not from far away, but your own people. Cannot become better. Competition drives innovation.

And that is what the Germany of "made in Germany" has forgot.

Quote:
So it’s true that Chinese companies are opening up the world market for electric vehicles. But they will never find peace, because their competitors from their own country sit incessantly on their backs.
Instead of investing into economy and business, Germany wasted 94 billion in fueling the mass migration to get a biggest share as possible of uneducated, non-socialised net wellfare receivers, many of them being hostile to our value order and liberal societies' fundaments.

Quote:
In this country proves to be proficient, who has to fear Chinese industrial spies or share purchases. If there are no such maneuvers, politicians may cheer, but business owners know that they have done something wrong.
^

Today I read that the top ten American banks are worth twice as much as the top ten European banks (amongst which, on last rank, is just one German bank, DB). While European banks hold as many commercial papers as the American ones, A mericna banks dwarfen European baks with net profits and operational wins. With the low interest regime by Draghi, to finance the debts of the southeuropean states and deceive over the fact that the system is exploding in slow motion, European banks promise to remain under economic pressure for long time to come. With Amerina finance institutes flourishing and looking forward to Trump's tax reform.

A Europe with a head full of itself and standing on legs thin like two pencils. A Germany and France that want to pump even more weight upwards, above the shoulders.

Well. A nce scripture for the German economy'S gravestone:

Quote:
Decisive, however, are the young talents, because - according to Google’s Personnel Director Laszlo Bock in 2015 - a top engineer outweighs three hundred good engineers. For these rare species, the children from the highest math achievement group form the recruiting pool. TIMSS 2015 ( Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study ) includes 32 (Japan) to 50 percent (Singapore) of ten-year-olds among the East Asians in the top segment. Since only Taiwan (35 percent) and Hong Kong (45 percent) of the Chinese participate, the value for the People’s Republic must be estimated. It should be lower than in the more heavily selected territories. Notwithstanding expected complaints, assuming 27 percent, there are currently 35 million aces at work. Switzerland, with 565,000 people in the 25 to 29-cohort (555,000 in 2020) and an extrapolated 25 per cent from PISA in 2015, represents a good 140,000. In Germany, however, only 5.3 percent, or around 275,000 children, belong to the top. That’s 0.8 percent of the Chinese volume .
Considering this, you can just break down and cry when following what they debate over here regarding German school politics. Ridiculous, and hopelessly disconnected from reality. The crashing bill waits some years ahead of us.

From Switzerland's Basler Zeitung, but in principle the same is true in Germany and from a German perspective as well.

https://translate.google.de/translat...225&edit-text=

Quote:
This narrative is so powerful because it is based on old, ultimately Marxist legends, which have been used again and again for more than one hundred and fifty years. That does not make them any truer, but they are always believed - far into bourgeois, even anti-Marxist circles. Why are we rich in the West? Why are the rest so poor? Karl Marx could explain this only as a kind of conspiracy of the entrepreneurs and rich against the "wage-dependent" and the poor. Marx has already started from an unfair exchange between employer and employee, where the employer succeeds in over-skimming the surplus value created by the worker. Marx therefore expected that in the long run the worker would be worse and worse, while the entrepreneur, the bourgeois, would become more and more powerful and above all fat.

This left-wing, pseudo-scientific conspiracy theory was easily transferred to the relationship between rich and poor countries. Was not the Third World the proletariat, while in the West the bourgeoisie triumphed-and was not this relationship as one-sided and unfair as that between employer and worker on a small scale? Trade kills, trade makes poor. We have to be ashamed.

Lust for self-flagellation

Perhaps it is this profoundly moralistic, even almost religious content, that this story of poverty and exploitation so captivates and tempts people in the West to deny their own success and think the miracle of modernity is a lazy magic. Indeed, it seemed outrageous how wealthy the West had become within a short time since the so-called Industrial Revolution had taken place in England towards the end of the eighteenth century. By the year 1800, all people in the world lived on average $ 3 a day per capita, whether in Europe, Asia or Africa. This amount, the latest economic-historical research confirms, has been virtually unchanged for more than 10,000 years since humans settled down.

Certainly, this income could fluctuate, if not to a very impressive extent. If certain advanced civilizations settled down, as in ancient Rome or the ancient Chinese Empire, Renaissance Italy or Spain under Arab rule, this number could increase to $ 6 or $ 7, and then back to $ 3 as soon as this high culture collapsed to fall back or even deeper.
In other words, with very few exceptions, man practically always lived on the edge of subsistence, and that everywhere. This did not change until the eighteenth century - when a new economy prevailed first in Holland, then in England, then in Belgium, in Switzerland and in Saxony, and finally in the whole of the West.

Later they called it (following Marx) capitalism, which is misleading. Admittedly, however, a new concept came to mind, for it was an outrageous development that American economist Deirdre Nansen McCloskey describes much better than "The Great Enrichment," the Great Enrichment. Crucial, however, so McCloskey, by no means the accumulation of capital - it had previously been elsewhere, but completely new was the extraordinary increase in productivity, means: A single worker produced in the same time more and more goods, always better Goods, increasingly cheaper goods - thanks to machines, thanks to smarter organization, thanks to resourceful minds, thanks to gifted entrepreneurs, thanks to intensive working hours. This had nothing at all to do with Africa's plight: Europeans did not become more productive at the expense of Africans or Asians, but because a very unique culture of continual improvement, of continuous innovation, spread to the West.

German original: https://bazonline.ch/schweiz/standar...story/10477225

Self-flagellation has become a Western art form and a collective hobby, and the West excels at it.

A really great, a compact, accessible, easy to understand summary and description of our way towards the collapse of our financial system, free of emtional attittudes, just fact oriented and basing on argument, not rantings. Very good status report, though very sobering.

A money system is not made to last forever. It will always crash, for whatever reason.
And the current system that has been detached from real hard worthy products, has its roots again in the USA.

Related to Skybird's link, but not quite as polemic.

"Let's think about what that might be, the economy: a bodiless abstraction that we observe from afar with daily and almost sacred attention. If the economy is doing well, we are a people full of hope. When the economy fails, the doomsday songs never go out. They are the same elements as in myths or religions. At the center of this economic belief is the guilt. We live in the age of debt and leverage, not capital. Leverage and guilt are the modes operandi, heart and soul of the global economy. Both are abstract dimensions of capital, not capital per se, or at least they were not, until in the 1980s the conversion of repayments into income became systematized as the most profitable activity in the world."

" ... if economic growth is based on the production and trade of real goods and services, the economy grows 2 percent. The capital, however, then grows by 4 to 5 percent. In short, real growth is 2 percent and capital growth is 5 percent. Eventually this becomes an unsustainable conflict. Finance is the interface between real growth and capital growth. General Motors no longer produces cars for the sake of car production, it produces cars to sell loans that yield 5 percent. The car becomes a justification of the bank loan, which financially means a fixed return payment that the buyer has to make for a certain period of time and which in turn can be sold. Finally, you can finally offer an insurance related to this transaction. It is a chain reaction of derivatives that creates a whole sector that, with the exception of the first activity, is completely detached from concrete objects."

https://translate.google.de/translat...-15532265.html

"We have become reducible to data that allows the system to benefit from us. So we became economic subjects who have lost their humanity."

Crime statistics for 2017 show a decline of total numbers by almost 10%, but a raise in critical crime categories like murder, manslaughter and rape compared to the time before the mass migration was channeled to Germany 2015. Also, "the proportion of non-German suspects in total crime and especially in violent crime is disproportionately high". In recent weeks it has come to mounting awareness of the publicc how many stabbings and violence with knifes is being committed by our new co-citizens, knife-stabbing has become a sports, also sexual harassment. Finally, "In murder, homicide and killing on request, the number of foreign suspects (1140) is not far below the number of Germans (1558), although the ten million people in Germany without a German passport face about 70 million Germans."

https://translate.google.com/transla...tml&edit-text=

It was earlier reported that the birth rate in Germany also rose, second year in a row. What our German quality media forgot to mention is that this netto raise in babies is due to the immense birth rate amongst the foreigners that arrived in the past three years. The birth rate amongst native, European Germans remains to be low, and does not compensate the deaths of native Germans. In other words: the native population again has shrunk, but no politician cares to say that.

The black numbers of sexual harassment and rape coimmitted by foreigners is being said by insiders and workers in this area to have skyrocketed in the past three years. Reminds me very strongly of the example set by Sweden where in areas with huge Muslim colonies it has grown so that the national statistics show a total increase of a factor over 6 one or two years ago when I read it.

Also, two weeks ago, the employers' statistics and estimations of how many foreigners arriving in the past three years coulöd successfully integrate dinto qualified jobs, again has been corrected down. No more anyone dares to praise the huge influx of "academical specialists" and well-trained higher grade-educated employees, the truth as described in an article from some days ago seems closer to be around not even one in six is finding a job in Germany that he could fulfill and live of - the others live of social wellfare.

Feel culturally enriched, all you German moralisers. The world moves closer together! "We get gifted with people!" (Claudia Roth, Green party). Hooray!

What does the Luftwaffe (GAF, German Air Force) of may 2nd, 2018 have in common with that of may 2nd, 1945?

They have four airworthy jet fighters left.

If you do not know what is meant when some historians speak of the post-heroic era, read this about the white book of the German Bundeswehr 2016.

https://translate.google.com/transla...zoo&edit-text=

Quote:
One gets the impression, as if one had displaced in the Ministry of Defense meanwhile the entire in-house vocabulary. This is indicated in any case by the fact that the words „army“, „naval“ or „air force“ or „tank“, „infantry“, „fighter jet“ or „drone“ do not appear in the entire document.
(...)
Rather than devoting oneself to a deeper analysis of the reasons leading to the failure of the mission (Afghanistan), or to presenting the military insights and lessons learned in the Bendler bloc, one prefers to deal with the forced civilization of the army. The promotion of diversity and equal opportunities, for example with regard to ethnic origin, sexual orientation and gender identity (...) is a management task. "
Hopeless.
