Support TWoS: Is there a way to remove a music track from the game?

I'm using TWoS and the megamod contains a music mod that adds several tracks from Das Boot. I'd like to remove them but still keep the other tracks that come with the mod (like the main menu one, I like that one).

How can I do it?

Thanks.

Difficult because all the names are as in the default game and don't reflect your 'Das Boot' track, but reflect the 'game situation' (batlle, neutral etc.)

Tracks are located in data\sound\Music.
I advice you to not just remove, but to substitute them with the same name, otherwise you'd have to change the music.cfg file to avoid game CTD, not sure if CTD but likely IMO (try out).

Good luck,

Thanks XenonSurf, I was about to try deleting the tracks but you're probably right, it would screw up the game.

Just try moving them in another folder on your OS, start the game and see if it can run without CTD and message like 'file not found'. If there is no CTD then you can simply rename or delete the files you wish to do without.
If there is CTD, then you'd have to move them back.

Cheers,

I found a solution:

Copy and paste the vanilla music.cfg over the modded one (it's in data/sound/music). Then the game will ignore the Das Boot music and play only the vanilla tracks, no errors, no ctds.
Note that this does not remove the modded main menu music, which is a great tune.

Cheers.
