Default modding the contower

i was looking at the gato-class GUPPY convertion and that got me thinking... its it possable to change the inside of the conning tower so that it had windows that you can see out of while underwater?

from what i understand, you can make transparent items like the bridge windows (I'm working on the guppy right now), but they won't block out the water when submerged. It would have the same effect as if you were on the bridge in rough seas or if you remained there (in game) until the game forced your view inside... the water would flow into the bridge almost as if its no there until you're kicked downstairs.

Of course, those windows were not designed for underwater viewing anyway... the whole point of making an enclosed bridge at the top of the sail was so that it could be manned even in severe weather, should the sub need to be on the surface. In calmer weather, the open post on top was primary because of its improved visual range.

Those windows are in the bridge structure, not the conning tower pressure hull.
